Finally solved this problem for OSX:

1. Download MC executable jar file from http://minecraft.net/download.jsp (Under Linux/Other heading) and save it to /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin/LaunchMinecraft.jar
2. Open AppleScript Editior in Applications->Utilities
3. Type (change theproxyserver.com and theproxyport to your settings):
do shell script "java -Dhttp.proxyHost=theproxyserver.com -Dhttp.proxyPort=theproxyport -Xmx800m -jar '/Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin/LaunchMinecraft.jar'"
4. Save as LaunchMC.app and run this instead of the Minecraft.app launcher
5. Profit ????  :)  :iapprove:

Here's how to do it on Windows too.. http://www.blankmind...behind-a-proxy/

Hello,

I've tried to make Minecraft playable behind my school proxy but nothing works.
We have to put our Username and Password for the proxy settings and I tried this :

do shell script "java -Dhttp.proxyHost=172.16.0.1 -Dhttp.proxyPort=3129 -Dhttp.proxyUser=xxxxx -Dhttp.proxyPassword=xxxxx -Xmx800m -jar '/Applications/Minecraft.app/Contents/Resources/Java/MinecraftLauncher.jar'"

But Minecraft doesn't want to connect to the internet ! What's wrong with my shell ?

Then I've created a Minecraft server which run pretty good at home but same problem at school.
Thanks for helping !
