First time modder here, and i wanted to make something that would not only keep your enchantments when you repair your tools, but they also add their Enchantments until you get to a total level of 125 per enchantment which can be very overpowered.
AS OF VERSION 1.3:
There is another version that allows for more balanced repairs that only increases the level of the enchantment if both enchantment levels are the same.
I.e.
Sharpness 3
+
Sharpness 2
=
Sharpness 3
Sharpness 3
+
Sharpness 3
=
Sharpness 4

Well, it most likely wont work with other mods because it edited main files while modloader makes it so that you dont have to. As long as all other mods use modloader, there is a chance that it will work.
Awesome mod, but I can't seem to do this with tools that have the fortune III enchantment. It repairs it, but it removes the enchantment. If any other enchantments are there, however, they stay. Other than that it's a great mod.

A better system would be to remove the lower enchantment.

Enchantments that only work with one level(i.e. silk touch) can't level up
For example:
If Pickaxe A has the following enchantments
Efficiency 3
Unbreaking 2
Silk touch 1
And pickaxe B had
Efficiency 2
Unbreaking 2
Silk touch 1
Then the new pickaxe would have the following:
Efficiency 3
Unbreaking 3
Silk touch 1
This is way less OP and much harder(but still possible) to get a pickaxe like this:
Efficiency 20
Unbreaking 20
Fortune 10
If 2 enchantments conflict, then the higher level one is used(Silk touch counts as level 3)
If both enchantment are the same level, then the one with the higher "weight" is used.
For example:
Pickaxe A
Fortune 3
Pickaxe B
Unbreaking 1
Silk touch 1
Pickaxe C:
Unbreaking 1

because Fortune only gives you extra redstone, diamond, coal, lapiz, etc. Since Silk Touch drops the base block (Diamond Ore drops Diamond Ore). Than whats the point? So pretty much Silk Touch renders Fortune useless while Fortune renders Silk Touch useless.

I like it a bit this way, because you can get insanely high enchantments.
