I've been searching vigorously around the internet for some new screensavers as im quite bored with the basic Win7 ones. Pretty much every screensaver site i go on is full of adware and purchasable crap.

Does anybody have any good screensaver sites for me? Im still searching now and so far it's come up with nothing.

NOTE: I swear to god, if anybody posts a link to LMGTFY, I will hunt you down.

I just want to find that windows 9x Maze screensaver.

I would watch that thing for hours.

EDIT: I found it.
Its block-ish but it's very fun to watch

This is my current, and favorite screensaver. Of course it requires you to find games for it, but if you can, well... it's awesome.

To save your screen.
From burning in an image that is.
Because we all know (or at least we should) that if you keep a screen on one image for too long, it will burn in and stay forever.

The nintendo screensaver is awesome, although im looking for something more modern. Like the ribbons screensaver on 7, except i've had it for ages and it's boring to watch.

You know, this actually does not apply to LCD screens.

I never use screensavers myself, I already have a 900-wallpaper slideshow on my desktop running all the time.

Back in the old days of computing the monitors they had would tend to have images burn into them.

Screen-savers would show some moving image (something simple) after a period of non-use to keep the image on the screen from burning into the screen.  Hence the name.

Most if not all monitors today don't use the oh so burnable phosphors that monitors of yesterday had, but people still like to have screen-savers due to the way they look.

Fuck normal screensavers, go get Electric Sheep.
http://electricsheep.org/

It's a beautiful evolving screensaver in which "sheep", or morphing onscreen image sets, are sent out over the internet to reproduce and mutate with others. You can rate each "sheep" up or down by pressing the arrow keys while it is being shown. This is the greatest screensaver program ever made. EVER.
