Hey Everyone,

Here's something I've been working on for months in creative, it's a HUGE world with vast oceans and many ships, all built to scale, 1 block = 1 meter and they are all sailable using the zeppelin mod.

Tell me what you think

I'll be keeping this one going as its sooo fun to build and its awesome to sail the ships between all my ports.

Thanks Posted Image

Might have to agree with above; the research one seems best detailed relative to size.

I will say, it's not often you see people building in cloth and making it look good anymore. That's one of the things I miss from classic; people were actually good at using cloth, like you've done pretty well.

Hey, the seed is 3595593994576635184 :)

I was thinking of building more or a large town or city :D And building lots of them so there are lots of ferry routes and different industries spread all over the place.

Here is some of the other various ports that are scattered around the map. Most take half an hour so sail between.

Delta Base Camp - Research base on a desert island.
Posted Image

Lizard Bay logging port.
Posted Image

Lizard Bay oil depo.
Posted Image

Farros Island Resort - sunny and sandy.
Posted Image

Hanseatic Falls - approx 25000 block away from mainland, takes about 2 hours by boat :o
Posted Image

Thanks again :) please comment and plus 1 :)

They look great, but feel out of place.
It just feels kinda off that there's just these large industrial vessels coming into a harbour that doesn't really attach to any city.

IF I HELP YOU IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM DON'T BE AFRAID TO CLICKITY CLACK THAT (+) IN THE LOWER RIGHT, THANKS

This is awesome, I do agree that there does need to be a city or at least a big port for the container ships. But its really cool.

Indeed!! All of them work, using the ship controller from the zeppelin mod, however the 160m ferry is very laggy as it is made from over 9000 blocks. I'll post some shots of them sailing.

Do not fear Posted Image I'm in the process of expanding the ports and adding cranes and warehouses and eventually city buildings, however the places like the jungle logging port I'm going to keep fairly bare as I like the idea of sailing for miles to a jungle, loading some freshly cut logs and just leaving it how it was.... a jungle Posted Image

More screenshots soon people Posted Image

As promised, here are some screenshots of the ships moving using the zeppelin mod.

Ferry leaving Evamist bound for Grand Port.
Posted Image

Fishing boat arrives late at night with a full load of freshly caught fish (there are chest in the boat full of rods so you can actually fish)
Posted Image

Search and Rescue helicopter leaves in a hurry from Grand Port helipad
Posted Image

Pilot vessel speed out to meet a bulker ship carrying tonnes of coal and iron ore
Posted Image

And finally the survey and research ship back out of it's berth and heads for the deep blue to map new territory
Posted Image

Please comment and plus one if you like it, I'm currently in the process of developing the larger ports to make them look more urban. any suggestions?

Thanks again.

Okay here we go, starting to look a little better do you think? added some warehouses and more cranes. It's not much but it's a start to what will hopefully soon be a town :) what do you think?

Nice warehouses! Though the cranes in my opinion need a little more work.

here is some inspration Posted Image

http://www.planetmin...rgo-dock-crane/

http://www.planetmin...ect/iron-crane/

Notice how all of these have big, ong booms booms (4x4x10 or larger) supported by cables(1x1). Thats probally what you need to change to make them look better Posted Image

Also, have you seen Ships and boats mod? It has some cool effects like bobbing and submarines :D

This is really amazing, there are only a handful of people that can build modern builds so great yet compact, keep it up, I'm bookmarking this thread, I'd love to see the cities develop.
