I was just watching Youtube today and found an ad with a grass block from Minecraft, and I clicked on it. It lead me to this link. [download link] I do believe that this is quite illegal.

Isn't that the version they allow you to download for free?

There... isn't one. There is no "trial" minecraft, you either pay full cost or you pirated it, end of story. I think you might be confused.

there will be, but i don't know why they would put it out before the update that has it, so i'm calling illegal.

There are tons of the websites hosted by hackers to illegailly download minecraft. It's technically stealing, and to be honest, it's simply wrong. Minecraft and other games are Mojang's living.

Even if a person got a free version of Minecraft, they'd be missing out on skinning and multiplayer features. As far as I'm concerned, 75% of the game is missing from what they've got.
