I accidentally changed the default program to open my run my server.jar to winrar and I can't change it back to the default java program that runs it, I have tried using the four java apps in my JRE7 bin and it won't work, also bat files won't run my server. I am on a 32 bit windows 7 computer and I need to use a jar file because I want to play with mods with my friends. Please help.

Right click the file > Open With... > Java > Set as default

You can change it from default applications in the control panel too.

Batch files can run any server.

java -jar -Xincgc C:\Users\%username%\Minecraft Server\minecraft_server.jar nogui

Ok, I know I am a nood with this but what exactly have I got to do to get this batch file working?
Edit: I tried making a bat file with that code and it says unable to access jarfile. what do I do?

That was just an example.  If you want one that works on your computer, replace "C:\Users\%username%\Minecraft Server\minecraft_server.jar" with the path to your server.jar or post the path so I can make the batch file for you.

Right click the file and then click on "Properties" to find the path.

I finally found the problem, it seems that nearly no one else knows this but 32-bit cpus can't run a batch file with more than 1518 mbs of ram, I run my server with about 1312mbs of ram and it works.
