Everything. Everything is different. Classic is basically creative mode, with nowhere nearrrr as many blocks, on a completely flat world where nothing else exists. If you see videos about minecraft and that's what you wanted to play, classic isn't even the same game really. Buy the game.

Classic has basically nothing in it, just blocks and hills, and is creative mode. Buy the game, or look up a way to download it free. But AFAIK, downloading it free has some disadvantages, like no servers or skins. Buy it, its cheap compared to most other video games.

Please don't tell people to STEAL the game on the official forums.  unless you are eager to be banned?

Or, wait until 1.3 and then you can get a better free demo.

Classic is pretty much nothing like how the game is now. It's how the game was 2-3 years ago, just the basic game engine mechanics. Block breaking, walking, falling. That's it. Not even the water physics.

Classic is a very early build of the game that is free to play but really does not represent how minecraft is now.

So different. No where near the same.

If you just want to build and do nothing but that, play classic, building is all classic really is.
