i want to download multiplayer but i dont nkow where i download it?

you don't "download it"... you download the SERVER program to run a SERVER but to PLAY on a server you use minecraft.exe.... and click MULTIPLAYER instead of SINGLEPLAYER.

no when i press multiplayer it says unable to connect to server

You need to put in a SERVER address when you hit multiplayer. This isn't an MMO, people have to HOST servers for you to join.
