Hey, just made this counter that counts dropped items and it uses water, pressure plates, and sticky pistons. A how-to video is also included. This counter can be easily extended to count over 500 items as long as the space provided permits it and that all items are deposited within five minutes.

This hand gadget can easily be hooked up to a digital number display or dispensers, making it great for shops and unlocks in adventure maps or multiplayer servers.

This is a great idea.  I've been wondering how the heck this would work for a while, and always thought it would have used lava to burn the item, but never thought of it like this.  You could also put ice there so the items will be pushed faster, possibly allowing faster responses.
I used to play survival, but then I took an arrow to the knee...
Now I mostly use redstone on creative.

I really like this, very simple but very useful. Just one thing I ask of you... Increase your mic volume!

i know. Its aweful, isn't it? I have always had problems with bandicam being quiet (don't have fraps) and I cannot change it.

Thanks, but believe me, I am terrible at redstone. Sure I can come up with a couple little helpful things like this, but when I look at things like redstone games or computers, I honestly don't know how it is done.
