Minecast. The minecraft podcast. I've been thinking of this for a bit, and now am putting it together. This may not work out, be warned, but there is no harm trying this out. We will be doing all the recording on Skype.

There would be certain jobs needed, here they are.
-General Manager (Managing the general layout of the podcast) *CHEZHEAD*
-Sound Design (Recording the podcast, maybe little jingles if needed/wanted)
-Feed and site manager (Could be the sound designer, this position is for putting up the podcast wherever we would host it and do general site things)

The other two would just be people talking on the podcast, but could take on jobs if needed. Now in the event of two people being missing, we could do two things.
1: Get someone to help out, anyone, really.
2: Cancel that week's podcast or reschedule.

1: you must be kind, considerate, and not too mean
2: You must have at least a *bit* of humor
3: Should be able to have a good time
4: Should be there for at least half the podcasts
5: Must have Skype, so you could actually record...  :roll:

That's it! We would have interviews, listener mail, and other random stuff. Ideas and other stuff would be appreciated! The podcasts could be simple little 20 minute snidbits on slow update weeks, or hour long awesomeness on new releases and interviews!

New idea! We would have the IRC open, so we could post things we are talking about, to get some more conversation. Live shows? The possibilities are endless!

Thanks! One problem I have is that all Saturdays from now until 4 weeks are PACKED, and I'll be on a ten day vacation as of this friday. That is a HUGE roadblock, but I'll just say this can be a month of preparation.

I like the idea, and would be interested in being a host, but I'm not sure that I could consistently talk about Minecraft that long.

I lived in Australia for most of my life, so my accent may be thick also. However, I don't sound Australian Whenever I talk to people they ask "Are you from Texas?" ((

Wow! This immense feedback just comes to show that most of this community isn't noobs and trolls!
Just to let you guys know, I am 14 years old, and my voice is still a tad high, but not annoying any more. Don't worry, I'm not at all annoying or trollish! So unless your voice is annoying as spongebob, it's okay!
But anywho, TenTacticles could make the forum if needed (A community inside a community! Awesome!), and Quatro could host it on his site for the mean time until we get a minecast site set up. Now, we should start recording in a few weeks, as I have the next 5 weekends filled (weddings, vacations, etc.), and as of friday, I will be gone for 10 days. This is a problem, but I simply wanted to get this idea out there. We could record either this wednesday, but that is not very likely, so most likely around the 7th to the 10th of May.

By the way, this may not have been clarified, but you can be a sound engineer and a host if wanted!

The suggestion connection portion,

And now I just have to narrow it down to the main hosts.

Here's how it works. The number next to the people is the order they are in, so the first 3 will be with me in the first episodes, then number one switches out with the next on the list, and so on, going down the list if someone is missing. These people are final for the most part, unless someone needs to leave permanently. So nine people, unless someone else is needed. Here's the document.

I am kinda the first with a bit more age, but don't want to get skype anyways.
