But that depends whether if YouTube wants to co operate or not since the processing time takes longer now.
That depends on when you upload your video, since my videos barely take 10 minutes to process.
The 720p processing takes quite a while longer, though...
Let me know if any more testing is needed. I'm not sure how much help I'd be though, given that I've already beat Infernal Sky II. I'm not playing a map at the moment, but I think the next one I'll play is Inferno Mines, when it comes out.
Matt I have noticed that you have a mini map mod on. Isn't the point to show players how to play the map legit? It makes it easier to find your items after you die so in a way it is cheating.

Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)

I didn't even notice it either, I was using it for other purposes. I'll disable it next time. Thanks for that!
I'm not the online one who works on the Super Hostile Guide. In fact, a lot of this community's members help me! Here's a list of contributions that didn't make it into the guide, or that I didn't find a place for.
If you'd like to add something to this list, please post the content as a reply to this thread. Thanks!

I think you should concentrate on spellbound caves and make infernal sky II secondary. You should stop sea of flame first. I think 3 maps are much to handle.

I may do a playthrough of "Waking Up" so I could contribute to that. I'll keep you posted, and I've marked this thread for myself to read.

Alright, thanks! Sorry I haven't been able to comment on your review of Sea of Flame II, I've been busy.
As soon as I have the time, I'll post comments.
To moderators:
Thank you very much for moving my thread, whoever did it!
Alright, so I'm not sure if you guys would like me continuing with the LPs. I was thinking of cancelling all LP projects except for the ones I already started (/w Pieluvr and Kristubs), since both the Infernal Sky II and Spellbound Caves written walkthrough should be written by now: it's taking too long! So would you like me to continuing on with the LPs, or go straight with the walkthrough?
I'm currently experiencing with the map, so the guide for this should come out eventually. I'm currently working on setting up the video series for Sea of Flame II, and finishing up the General Techniques.
D: im playing it now can u please hurry sorry if this sounds rude

I'm sorry to say, I can't really work on the walkthrough yet, I haven't finished the LP! I could start writing some points, although it will be VERY incomplete
I can record multiple episodes at a time, if we do them at times I can record at all, but I don't know what your timing is and how time zones affect this etc.
I'm in Eastern Time (GMT-5), and I'm available 9am-5pm weekends/summer, and 3pm-5pm weekdays.
Sea of Flames II -- My report and comparison with your tactics. My difficulty rating is for getting the wool. I believe I died around 4 times, and two were due to absolute stupidity on my part.
1. Spire Caves -- I did it the "passive" way as explained in the guide. I would rate getting this as Hard because while I was building the path, skeletons shot me down despite my best efforts.
2. Spire Depths -- I got the Low Armor & Weapons chest by quickly destroying spawners after lighting the nearby area. (Furthermore, I used cobblestone to block other mobs from entering the area from the larger portion of the cavern.) Then, I identified the location of the fleecy box, and built a tunnel to the left of that bedrock spawning area to get to the box. I would rate this as Hard.
3. Halls of Flames, North – I used all the sandstone I accumulated earlier to block off entrance to the lower room entirely, so spiders and skeletons could not interfere with me. THEN I dug through the skeleton room and destroyed the mob spawners. I took advantage of skeletons shooting themselves, which allowed me to get rid of the spawners with little difficulty. Finally, I made a sandstone path from the skeleton room to the wool, and used "ridges/rails" to prevent spiders from interfering with me. Easy.
4. Halls of Flames, South – I first tried to light things up here, but I realized this dungeon would be too big to do so efficiently. Therefore, I used my cobblestone to make a path near the ceiling and tried to scout for the wool. I found it near the train tracks, so i went back down and, using speed II potions from Halls of Flames, North, I raced to the wool, got it, and went back out. I made it out alive by avoiding paths that had spiders and skeletons because those mobs can hinder a speed-through. Easy difficulty. (In retrospect, I should have used TNT to blow up the ghasts, but they didn't give me problems here.)
5. Don’t Blow It! – Creepers blew up lava here, but that actually worked to my advantage as it lit up the whole place. I just added a few torches and used some blocks to cover up lava patches as I didn't want to risk falling in them. I didn't need to destroy many spawners because the creepers destroyed themselves. Furthermore, with areas like this that have intersections, it's wise to use blocks to wall off the paths. Then, when you're ready, you can deal with one path through an intersection at a time and not have to worry about a multi-pronged attack. Easy.
6. Citadel Courtyard – I went through and destroyed the 8*32 spawners in the obsidian stuff by carving a path through the four corner towers. Then I went to the central area, by the entrance to the depths, and found the wool there by the entrance to Rageshadow Depths. This was Easy.
7. Upper Rageshadow – This was just a classic creeper smashing with my "ragefall" axe. This didn't present too much difficulty ... just go forward, light up things, go back, kill creepers, and repeat. Another tip: I mined the necessary mossy cobblestone blocks to make the paths completely flat, because it's easier to run on flat ground. I'd rate this as Easy.
8. Rageshadow Depths – I tried to build a path with cobblestone by the ceiling. I successfully landed near the fleecy box, but I actually died there as hordes of spiders knocked me off my platform! I definitely learned my lesson here -- build guard rails! My path was two blocks wide, but without rails, a massive spider attack is enough to kill you. I had a hard enough time getting the wool, so I definitely didn't bother to conquer the entire dungeon! I’d rate this as Hard. (Also, see my comments below about the iron block.)
9. Vrinstar – I tunneled my way to the top with all the cobblestone, since that's where the wool is likely to be located, and destroyed 2 groups of 9 spawners in the process. I blocked off the two lapiz lazuli entrances on my way up with my cobblestone while I was batting the hordes of mobs. Medium difficulty.
10. Oreflare –- This was a standard "run forward, torch, then run back" area. By the time I got near the fleecy box, I saw that there were lots of spawning mobs by the wool so I realized there must have been a fun box in the ceiling. I calculated the location, went around the pillar to avoid mobs, tunneled through the redstone with my diamond pickaxe, and went directly to the spawners. Medium difficulty.
11. The Rotten Caves -– I did not make the iron block from this iron as as I needed it for my armor and I hadn't been to Rageshadow Depths. I first walled off myself with cobblestone so I had a nice flat area near the entrance to walk, free of mob threats. Then, I built a ledge and just manually destroyed a few things. I eventually was confident enough to walk on the ground floor and light things up. Then I saw the light at the bottom of the lake which indicated that there was wool there. So I went back to the VM, got some signs from the chest that was there, then went down. I destroyed spawners and got the wool, though the extra signs I brought weren't necesary. This was Medium difficulty.
12. Shut. Up. Spiders, Augh! -- I used three main tactics. (1) Lava buckets to quickly illuminate things (2) TNT to destroy spawners, and (3) tunneling in the last area to avoid the spawners and to get the wool. I used TNT by walling myself off, then making a path near the ceiling and above the spawners. Obviously, this could only be done in areas with a high enough ceiling. Otherwise, I would just torch as much as possible, run back, then run forward and destroy the spawners. It was Easy.
13. The Vault of Relics -- Nothing to be said here. It was Very Easy.
14. Dance Above the Flame -- The difficult part was getting enough cobblestone to build a safe path, as I wanted to have "guard rails" and a ceiling to protect myself. In retrospect, perhaps I should have used water buckets. I would rate this as Very Easy.
15. The Battle for the Molten Depths -- I made a tunnel for myself as you suggested. I also made a bridge and used pistons, so that I didn't leave myself vulnerable to ghasts and skeletons. I would rate this wool as Medium. (In fact, I found it more difficult just to go through the Molten Depths to get here.)
16. A Snowball's Chance ... -- I arrived here early (see comments below) to get the diamonds. I then left and waited until I had the iron to make pistons. I walked to a ledge that got me as close to the wool as possible, and piston'd my way. I piston'd a walkway and a ceiling, and was easily able to add "guard rails." I would rate this wool as Medium.
I got the diamond and the gold blocks as my 8th and 9th blocks, respectively by aiming at Dungeon 16 relatively early since I know Vechs tends to put diamonds in the later dungeons. (In retrospect, I should have gone there first.) That made it very easy to get the 10th through 19th blocks compared to if I didn’t have all diamond armor. The iron block is from the Rageshadow Depths. I ignored the iron near the fleecy box there, and went for the safer alternative by the left pillars.
The final order of blocks that I put up on the VM: (1) Magenta Wool (2) Light Blue Wool (3) White Wool (4) Brown Wool (5) Yellow Wool (6) Purple Wool (7) Light Grey Wool (8) Diamond Block (9) Gold Block (10) Orange Wool (11) Cyan Wool (12) Green Wool (13) Lime Wool (14) Pink Wool (15) Gray Wool (16) Iron Block (17) Black Wool (18) Blue Wool (19) Red Wool
Overall, I agree with a lot of your guide, and my major suggestion is that using pistons to make paths to open-area fleecy boxes is a lot safer than manually building it, since one skeleton shot could mean you fall to your death.
1 - Spire Caves Remember, you don't necessarily need to bridge across the room; you can also build tunnels on the sides of it, it's much easier.
2 - Spire Depths Thank you very much for this, I'll be adding your techniques to the guide. Even though I did pretty much the same thing as you, I didn't think of blocking the path.
3 - Halls of Flame North This will let me tweak the guide accordingly, I think the difficulty of this dungeon depends on which game tick you enter the room (mob spawns).
4 - Hall of Flame South Not much I can say currently about this one, I'll review it in greater detail later.
5 - Don't Blow It! Thank you for providing the information about the lava contributing to lighting the tunnels, this will definitively be something I'll add to the guide.
6 - Citadel Courtyard Normally I don't count digging tunnels into difficulty, but this is still something that you'll eventually need to do anyways.
7 - Upper Rageshadow I really must remember to take advantage of enchanted items next time!
8 - Rageshadow Depths I'll also remember to indicate having guard rails in the guide.
9 - Vrinstar Since this is tunnelling, there's not much I can say here.
10 - Oreflare I'll reduce the difficulty here. Didn't realize there was only one fun box, or I completely forgot.
11 - The Rotten Caves Not much I can say currently about this one, I'll review it in greater detail later.
12 - Shut Up! Spiders! To be honest, I didn't review this dungeon closely enough, and I didn't provide useful tactics, I'll add yours, thanks!
13 - Vault of Relics The name makes it look at lot harder.
14 - Dance Above The Flame I agree, the dungeon seems much easier when you cheat through it. Although, you can't really cheat in Super Hostile after all.
15 - The Battle for Molten Depths Not much I can say currently about this one, I'll review it in greater detail later.
16 - A Snowball's Chance See below.
Final Notes
I'd just like to say, thank you very much for providing this insightful information, that will be implemented in the guide soon. The idea with the pistons is something I've never considered, because of the amount of time I thought was required to build them; I like doing things quickly, but even if I'm patient, this was my downfall multiple times.
Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been able to work on the guide lately at all. I forgot to Suspend it.
I've just completed the Hall of Flames North dungeon and I might like to say a new idea that I used.
I used the glass from one of the chests to fill the bottom holes. It saves you from using torches and there's no chance of falling into the lava once you finished.

I could do both, but it will either have to be solo LPs or we record multiple episodes at a time, which right now other people don't have time to do.

A graphical support position is necessary right now, current members may take a second spot.
