Inability to login

Hello everyone, I'm quite new here and I've finally decided to put up this problem I've been having onto the forums:

I bought Minecraft about a week ago and it worked great for 3-4 days, I could login to the game and single and multiplayer worked (well, I could never actually get into a multiplayer server, but it was because of the server and not the game itself). Then not too long ago it stopped letting me log in to both the website and the game. Playing offline still works for me but I've been dying to try out multiplayer and I've already asked questions on formspring and sent emails but none have responded.

Can anyone provide some help?

Same thing happened to me a week ago.

Now here's the thing with my side of the story, I requested a new password through my username and it said a email was sent. Upon looking at my email I saw nothing.
I went back and requested a new password using my email and it said the email was not connected with any accounts. D:>

That makes me worried.

unfortunately, when someone hacked ur account, they changed the email that was registered with it.

And that's why you keep the receipt, send an email to Notch and wait him to fix it.
Should take at least a month for him to check his monthly emails.

sending an email to http://www.minecraft.net/support/ has gotten my account resolved.
I can play online again. <3

Yes, generally when your account gets hacked, with email and password changed you might think your screwed. But your not.

When you bought the game you get a minecraft ID sent to your email. If your someone like me you never bothered to open that email or even know it was sent to you.

Daniel needs that ID to fix it and change the password and email to whatever you want.

Now directed towards at you justin, I don't tend to make posts about anyone specifically most of the time.
I hope the post will help anyone that tries to look up his/her similar problem and will find my post.

damn this just happened to me and suprising ly i feel better
atleast i know now what happened and i can now stop blaming my self :Notch:
ps does it really take a month for him to read the email?

This problem was mentioned in the thread, IN CASE YOU GUYS HAVEN'T REALIZED, ACCOUNTS ARE BEING STOLEN. (Just scroll dwont he SUpport page and you should find it.) There's a lot of drama in there, but the main thing to take from that topic is to email http://www.minecraft.net/support/ and wait patiently. If you haven't gotten a response after four business days just email him again. After that, you might want to reconsider changing your password to something extremely convoluted.
