This mod allows for Sound Packs.

They work the exact same way as Texture Packs, but instead change the sounds.

What can you do with this mod?
You can change the sounds of Minecraft, and create easy to use Sound Packs.

Examples:
-Change the "Cat" record to a dubstep record!
-Change the explode sound to a fart!
-Redo all the sounds to oblivion sounds!
-And much more!


Compatible Sound Packs:
- Retro Sounds Pack by Xamio. (Old sounds/reference pack)
- OblivionCraft Sound Pack by Olasonline
- Zelda Sound Pack by KingPosse
- Junk Jack Sound Pack by TheGoodUsernames
- Portal 2 Sound Pack by joshinator551

How to make your own Sound Pack:
1. Download the Retro Sounds Pack as reference.
2. Change sounds you wish to change. (Make sure they are .ogg files)
3. Make sure you have the correct format, and then put the folder in a .zip file.
4. ???
5. Profit.

Installation.
1. Download and Install Minecraft Forge.
2. Download this mod and place the .jar in your mods folder

//Optional: Sound pack installation//
3. Download a Sound Pack.
4. Extract the contents of the .zip or .rar file into "%appdata%\.minecraft\Soundpacks"
5. Start Minecraft.
6. Enjoy.

Note: Unlike with texture packs, the sound packs CANNOT be read in a .zip folder. They can only be read in normal folders. You MUST do step 4 correctly.

This is basically Sound Mod Enabler with a fancy GUI.

Beta v0.74 released

This includes new features as:
- A new "extra options gui"
- A disable hurt sounds option
- A disable weather sounds option
- A disable cave sounds option
- A option which disables the vanilla resource folder from updating when you want to change something in it
- Swap mus files with ogg files like you could with SME

Beta v0.8 released.

-Added an option to disable update messages.
-Fixed grammar errors.
-Moved support files to minecraft.jar/soundpacks for compatibility.

This is fantastic! I really hope this mod becomes popular so there eventually become a nice list of Sound Packs. I'd make one myself but depends if I have enough spare time I guess. Also, I'm really liking the OblivionCraft sounds by Olsaonline.

There are many more sound packs, but since I am one person I can't convert them all to this new Sound Pack format. Plus I don't think they would like it very much.

Released Beta V0.9.

- Improved the Update message.
- Implemented Mod loader logging.
- Migrate as much as possible to the "soundpacks" folder inside the jar folder
- Cleaned up the code a bit. (No affect on you guys.)
- In-game menu (accesable from a keyboard key)
- Extra option: Change the keyboard key.
