Haven't found one yet, but I assume they work similarly to other ones, yeah? I'd disable it with torches.

The one I found was guarding an end portal. And as I had no intention of going there anytime soon, I just walled it off with a warning sign and a window.

You only find them near the end portal. I usually destroy mine, they dont drop any good loot right?

I was going to make a mob trap outta it, but that would be kind of worthless so I destroyed it :D

I've seen people make an XP farm of them and it seems way too complicated.
Although god friggin damn it seems fun to get like a swarm of them and guide them about and throw splash potions of damage on them ^3^

I'd just disable it and leave it. You can use it later if you want to.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll just get rid of it. It seems way to complicated to build an xp farm and they are starting to piss me off.

I kept mine, I just placed a torch on top of it. Seems like a waste to break it.

I found my stronghold the other day and destroyed the silverfish spawner... the torches weren't placing right and I already had a mob trap built around  double skellie dungeon :)

Silverfish don't drop anything useful as of yet (except experience). If they update it so they drop something useful try to find another stronghold. You may need to use AMIDST though seeing as eyes of ender only point towards one of the three strongholds
