Hey Guys! Sorry for not updating niftycraft, i am working on a 1.4.7 version, wich hopefully uses minecraft forge! I won't promise anything, but maybe there will be an update?
* Fixed the armors not rendering on the player when worn
* Fixed the niftycraft options, and made them work again(Pain)
* Changed the number of chains gotten from crafting to 16
* Organized my code
* Added support for minecraft 1.3.2
My own mod spotlight:
How to play niftycraft with other people on LAN-servers (LAN-servers only!):
My installation tutorial:

"So you found it?", "Craft a Bottle o' Enchanting with a secret ingridient"
"Farmer eh?", "Craft a hay block with wheat"
"It's Raining", "Create a rain detector block"
"Wooden Buckets!", "Craft a wooden bucket, with wood and sticks"

"Armor Upgrade", "Craft any piece of an iron armor set"
"Gold Armor", "Craft any piece of a golden armor set"
"Let's Fight!", "Craft any piece of a diamond armor set"
Water Storage Block
Lava Storage Block
So yeah, thats the changelog, now over to explaing a bit:
Solar Panel Block:
Powers adjacent blocks around it, if the sun is present
Lunar Panel Block:
Powers adjacent blocks around it, if the moon is present
Rain Detector Block:
Powers adjacent blocks around it, if there is any type of downfall in the world
Hay Stack Block:
Removes fall damage from any fall distance
Fire Starter Block:
When powered, it creates a block of fire above it
Portable House Block:
When placed on any block, it creates a little house
Made by smelting obsidian in a furnace. The ingot is used to make an obsidian plate
With these plates, you can craft obsidian armor, use these plates, and create armor like the recipe of any other armor
Can pick up water, but not lava
Randomly Dropped from breaking glass blocks, can be used to craft 1 new glass block
With these chains, you can craft the chain armor, use these chains, and create armor like the recipe of any other armor
Drops from mobs, and can be used to make a bottle o' enchanting
VERY bad armor, which is crafted with any type of wooden planks
Fair Armor, which is crafted with smooth stone
Extremely over-powered armor! Unless you fall to high, you cannot die while wearing this armor
The reason for me removing the water and lava storage blocks, is that if you put a bucket with water or lava in a dispenser, they basically have the same fuction...
V2.2 (MC 1.3.2)

But its an epic mod! It would be nice if it can be used on SMP but that would take a while wouldn't it?
Oh and congrats for the Yogscast Mod spotlight!

The reason I suggest this is because the well-known mods in Forge are mostly the 'technical' mods that add a lot of, perhaps, 'overpowered' items and blocks, that allow you to mine out the world, blow up castles, synthesize diamonds etc. stuff like that. Stuff that is normally associated with a more modern setting, rather than Minecraft with its more Fantasy/Medieval setting.
Whereas when I see your mod, it seems more on the lines of Better than Wolves, or DJOslin's mods, with more sensible, yet very compelling blocks to increase the amount of systems you can create and stuff. Obviously a solar panel is a very modern thing, but it's not 'overpowered', and it could be explained by magic if one was so inclined. Your mod seems to stick more to Minecraft's core values.
Neither of those other two I just listed can be used in SMP, or with Forge. So inplementing this into Forge or SMP could let your mod stand out in a crowd of more 'overpowered' mods.
Obviously, I'm not saying you should clone BTW or DJOslin's mods, always keep your own style, and do what you want to do, but I think adding either Forge support or SMP support through other means will be beneficial to your mod.
