Because nobody demanded it, now you can CRAFT BEDROCK. Just fill up your crafting table with obsidian, and get 10 bedrock! Perfect for making that indestructable fortress in singleplayer, just don't screw up!!!

Bedrock is useless though, its uncraftible for a reason.

It is uncraftble, but some people (like me) like the look of bedrock. I made the mod for myself primarily, and decided that other people on minecraftforum might like it. Besides, isn't it the point of any mod to allow the player to do things that weren't intended and enhance gameplay for people who WANT to do something like that? That's what my mod does.

I do agree on the useless part, I just like the way it looks! XD

3 problems.

1. you get too much bedrock - lower the amount you get to like 3 or change the recipe.
A suggestion, it's white and black right? make it require end stone as well.

2. Can't get rid of it. - if you miss click once you're stuck with a piece of bedrock you can't remove (unless you have TMI in which case whats the point of the mod)

3. bedrock is ugly - never seen a texture pack in which it actually looks good.

Good points. I'll make a new release (and maybe a new mod.) How about I lower the bedrock amount, and add a new item in the game (seperate mod.) The item will be a special pick which lets you break bedrock (which will be kinda costly to craft, think blaze rods and obsidian.)

Still, I like bedrock when I'm building a dark fortress or a dungeon. It's ugly, but it looks cool!

Yeah I agree with all the replies, I'm' not a hater but I'm suggesting that make your mod more interesting so that they would appreciate your hardwork. Example maybe some craftable bedrock.. it depends in your choice.

this mod is a work in progess allpha its at a primitve stage so dont make hater comments not like you could do better

I hate to be a "Simon" but this mod could be better.
1. Crafting Recipe
2. Don't screw up = not good advice
3. Other than the fact you cant mine it, it's pretty much re-textured obsidian.

a.(if your willing to add some type of furnace)
Add a "Compressor block that requires fuel (Coal, charcoal only)"
=obsidian
=bedrock
=Diamond(Item)
=Iron
=blank

b. If you don't want to add any new blocks

3. Ok I'm pretty much sick of tool mods, so other than a shitty bedrock pickaxe make some type of tool that can pick these blocks up (mining lazer, drill, jackhammer something people don't think of normally)

To be honest, you need to make this mod "non noobish" Its not a bad idea but people like mighty pork have mods that let you create your own recipes, which makes mods like this pointless. All im saying is add content Take a and some

I think this mod is best mod... for trolls... who troll themselves.

Indestructible house? Yes. Movable house? Not so much. Good looking house? If you hide it in the forest and don't misplace a block. [trollface]

Anyway. I like the idea, but this isn't a "groundbreaking" mod. [trollface]

Yeah. The mod obviosusly needs some work, but it was my first time coding in java and wanted to do something simple. Now that I'm a little more familiar with it, I'll work on the point you brought up! A compressor sounds pretty friggin cool! Anyways, thanks for the advice. I'll work on the mod now!

Honestly, I think it's a good mod, while bedrock may be useless, you can make this better than it is.
Make a pickaxe that is made out of bedrock so that you can destroy the bedrock, and don't make it take to long to break the bedrock, you can make other bedrock tools, but that's the only one that is really needed. Good Job on the mod though!

Ok. So a compressor is too complicated right now. So here is what I might do:

I might have players put obsidian in a furnace, and that will produce bedrock (it will take longer to smelt than other blocks)

&

Either a Lazer-Bow Drill (A new mod itself, will be recommended to use alongside this one) which when you shoot any block (kinda like a bow), it destroys and you can pick up the item. OR a bedrock pick (which comes with this mod, only pick that can destroy any block and not get damaged.) I might actually implement both.

What do you guys think? I'm not too fond of all the negative response the mod has been recieving, so I'll run it through you guys first!
