Awesome theme and really great ideas! Love your presentation style at the top and the opening pic. Although you say 'Moderncraft' it has a distinctive 50/60's feel to it which I really like. A very original idea indeed and I'm looking forward to how things develop.
Just got a few more done... will be ready for an initial release soon, I think.
Chests? Who still has big hulking chests lying around? They're expensive and difficult to transport. Why not just swipe some big old unused cardboard boxes from a southbound freight and dump things in them instead?
A wooden workbench surface simply won't do in today's world of powertools. You saw through that plank of wood- and right through your workbench. Whoops.
Thanks to the magic of Moderncraft, this will never happen again, with this workbench's blackened metal surface. (And handy crafting guides!)
TNT? No one uses TNT anymore. It's been obsolete since Alfred Nobel invented dynamite in 1867, and furthermore its full name is unpronounceable. To replace it, here's a more modern, generic explosive, which will give you more modern, generic explosions.

Well, your MOM makes your mom jokes that don't make sense.
Early kind of test alpha version released in first post. Has everything I've done so far on the pack. The actual release version will have more features. Open for public comment.
Enjoy.

well about the cardboard boxes. why not instead of cardboard we use crates? better to to have a wharehouse that actually looks like a wharehouse. or better, a single chest is a cardboard box, and when you make it a large chest it turns into a crate. what ever you do, even if its completely ignore me, it probably wouldn't make that much of a difference to the rest of these poeple. but just for modernizing minecraft you deserve these :SSSS:.
and as for girders, the only reason they are green is becuase of paint, since they're steel they start out looking like this then depending on what the designer had in mind its painted to protect from erosion
I love you. Sadly I can't see what I'm typing because I... you know... "exploded" all over the screen after seeing this xD
so I hope that I am giving you diamonds right now.

Question is who is willing to take up the task? I would but my modding skills are probably as crippled as a turtle covered in honey and duct-tape on an interstate highway.
Great work mate!
Will you be replacing items, too? For instance, a compound bow, a lighter for the flint and steel, etc.

No, they aren't. I've never even seen red bridge girders.
Grey girders, yes. Lots and lots of grey girders.
which is both good and bad (:
for you .
Bridge girders are green. Dunno what kind of weird place you live where they're not green.
(perhaps they should be colorable somehow...?)

The Golden Gate Bridge is a reddish orange, but that's a paint job.
