is this normal to have absolutely no files on minecraft all i have is the game and the 'create a server' thing other wise it is blank
i don't know how to change my texture pack or add mods because i don't have these files i have all the latest items like java and minecraft itself
I've tried to re-install it to see if i was missing something but it doesn't seemed to have worked...
any help or tips on my problem?

I don't really get what you actually got at the moment..
Because there is no 'create a server' thing in (the launcher of) minecraft..

did you download the one you need for your OS: http://www.minecraft.net/download ?

You are in the appdata folder and .minecraft folder is blank? Then minecraft is not installed. Try running the launcher, hit options, and click force update. Then click cancel and log in.
