MCP = MineCraft Coder Pack

I've found the Enviromental Variables thing and there ;s two lists:

User variables for (my name)
System variables

I edited the 'Path' variable to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_22\bin;C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin

I ran the decompile.bat, didn't work.

What am I doing wrong?

This isn't a specific MCP problem but a generic Java installation requirement.

You need to add your JDK/bin directory to the enviroment path, just google it! For instance: http://download.orac... ... paths.html

OK

So I made this.

Variable name: PATH

Variable value: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_22\bin;C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin

Ran decompile.bat. STILL NOT WORKING!

Is it because the Minecraft bin and resources file are from the beta .minecraft file?

You don't make it, it should already exist... here is a guide I found

Quote

   1. Right click “My Computer” icon
   2. Choose “Properties” from context menu
   3. Click “Advanced” tab (“Advanced system settings” link in Vista)
   4. In the Edit windows, modify PATH by adding the location of the class to the value for PATH. If you do not have the item PATH, you may select to add a new variable and add PATH as the name and the location of the class as the value.
   5. Reopen Command prompt window, and run your java code.
