What do you think? Have you ever wanted to play on Easy, Normal, or Hard without hunger? Have you ever wanted to fight monsters without worrying about your hunger?  (Hunger wouldn't be a choice on Hardcore.)

(P.S., sorry about having it say "Poll" twice. I didn't know it does it automatically. :))

I think it's a good idea to have the option. I know how much hunger gets in the way and how sometimes I just hate it.
But also, I think it's quite good at the same time. Hmm...

But the option is good I guess.

How about no hunger in all difficulties, chosen when you create the world. That would be good for custom maps.

Hunger is an important part of the game.
It makes minecraft that much more real
Playing with it off?

I suppose for adventure maps it be alright.
Maybe if Notch impletements an "adventure" mod no hunger should be considers

I'm on the fence

It would just be better to have hunger as a standard and have those people who really hate it install a no hunger mod.

Go to my channel :D

It just seems like such a base thing that should be here. I don't personally like hunger (although I don't complain to people) and the first thing I did after playing with it was look for the button to turn it off in the options.

Well, assuming you mean to change the eating system to pre-beta (or whenever the hunger bar came out),  stackable food and the loss of the eating animation would make it much easier to survive. Also, turn on peaceful or backdate if you can't deal with it.

Wow, the "deal with it" argument, good one. Great contribution to the discussion. Really, this should change the course of the thread forever.

Anyway, if there were an option, it should be a World Gen. option. That way people can't switch it around, and such. I imagine this being implemented for adventure map makers.

I agree that it should be a world gen option

It might as well, not like it actually takes away from the game in any way if you add an option.

Is the "hunger" thing located somewhere in the .minecraft or minecraft.jar? If so, you can copy those files to another folder and delete the original. That way you can copy it back when you want hunger again.

Hunger on: The way it is now. Hunger off: Pre-beta health restoration from food, Keeps the animation and stacking.
Carrier has arrived.

No hunger? So you heal automatically all the time? Or would you not heal? Hunger was meant to make the healing from food more indirect.
Using a Mac, the best kind of PC. Why? Cause Windows destroys to a cactus.

You wouldn't automatically regenerate. You would regenerate as you eat, like it was in Pre-Beta.

Hunger makes the game easier. This option would help with old adventure maps.

No. If you're so desperate to play Minecraft without all the survival elements, play Peaceful or Creative.
Besides, the "it's always good to have the option" mentality would eventually lead to an excessively long world options list.

I don't really like the idea of toggling hunger, this would make a mess of problems.
