Ok, so I'm almost finished with the 1.2 release. Because I'm still doing this all solo, there will probably be some bugs and maybe your game will lag with loads of other mods combined. I got ExtraBiomesXL and although it didn't lag the game, it just server-lagged the entities :( I'll have to wait till the first feedback comes in before I can decide on how severe this bug is.

Probably... 3-4 more days because of school :/

It is great the bison is coming.
I hope it will has more this kind of animals like Deer, Antelope, Wild Goat, Boar, etc.

Don't expect to much from the Bison yet, it's currently just a remodeled Cow because I'm still thinking of original features.

I can help you if you would like, I am reasonably good at coding and making textures/models. Also, when is the 1.4 release coming? If only some of the mobs are done could you release it anyway because I think we can all agree that having some is better then none.

Well, the build is near release state, however I would like to use Forge's way of installing sounds. Maybe I can implement that quickly.

I definitely agree with those. Since they didn't appear on the search, I'd also like to suggest for the future; Jackalopes or their real-world counterpart the spring hare (they're fast), Flying Dragon (the tiny lizard, not the mythical creature, they're like scaly flying squirrels), thylacine/Tazmanian tiger (like wolves, but different), kakapo (What do you get if you cross an owl with a parrot with a penguin?), and bumblebee bats (bats the size of hummingbirds, native to Thailand).

Will the mod work on servers or are the mobs and sounds client side only?

I've seen an actual  kakapo, I don't see any penguin.

I think it's still fine if the Bison similar with original cow... nope, they are heavy and tough, should be neutral (even randomly hostile) animals which will ram and trample on the hunters.

They should move as a unit, with migration-like behavior rather than wandering aimlessly.
