Hi, I am using OS lion and I know where my .minecraft folder is (i think) and I've been able to install texture packs in the texture pack folder, but the "mods" folder that people talk about to put your mods in to install them doesn't seem to be there... any help would be lovely

Same problem for me
I got modloader in the last update and a mods folder popped up in my minecraft folder but in this update I got modloader and no mods folder

guys, i have the sam problem, i created a mods file and put my superheroes unlimited mod in and it wouldnt work, is it because i used minecraft sp and p.s i already installed the latest version of forge can any body help

You need to install forge compatible with your minecraft.
or
if you use mods that don't need forge no modloader add them in this directory:
.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar (open it with WinRar and then put the mod.)

I made a folder and made it in .Minecraft and named it mods, I downloaded a mod and put it in that folder, went to Minecraft, and it didn't work
