Though it takes less time to pull it from the jar then it takes to navigate to this page then download it

You have to Winrar, which you can download for free. Go to "run" or search and type in %appdata%, then open .minecraft, open "bin" and right-click on minecraft.jar. Click "open with" and select Winrar Archiver. Scroll through the .class files until you find terrain.png. Drag it wherever you want.

I like your banner- that's crazy!

Eh you can either complain or actually USE the download. Why are you on this if you don't have any reason to get it?

So we can give our opinions. And as I see he just posted something that anyone can EASILY get by themselves.
This thread is either trolling or this guy is completely stupid.

PS; The recent update is 1.4.7 , not 1.2.4.

Just saying, I use these to make texture packs and also to save time because I don't want to download winrar, or whatever that is called.Posted Image

Irrelevant. It contributes nothing to the community as a whole. He took time out of his day, yes, but he did something anyone could do in a matter of seconds.

WinRAR has many beneficial uses beyond simply unpacking the jar and packing up texturepacks.
Networking Tip of the Day: Static IP addresses are not always necessary for running a server. DHCP "leases" IP addresses and will often reassign them continually on small private networks by remembering the MAC address of the computer. It is only in larger networks where there are more then ~254 devices connected at any given time where a static IP is a good idea.

Yes i know, but i use my dad's computer mostly, and when i try to download stuff like that on his computer and my computer, minecraft gets messed up or it doesn't work and then there is all these viruses, and i have enough viruses from playing sims.

Sorry that I didn't use this font on the last text.
