Notch "born" his child: Minecraft. For the first year, he cared about it and developed it at a decent speed. Unluckily, when he got rich, he just started to ignore his child. Later, he accidentally broke his child's spine ("Adventure update") and a few months later left it. And he gets a reward. Yeeeeaaah.
