Lol I've never found the dungeon legit, always used creative to spawn the eye of ender and then used creative to give be diamond armour, and then fought it in creative lol I took out half of it's health with eggs though!

Haven't got to the end yet, Just Found the portal,   I just need to acquire the pearls to make the eyes needed. I found the stronghold on accident it was under the village I took over Whoop

Did it once. Won't do it again unless I'm planning on making an enderman farm. It's really not worth the time sink.

i've done it numerous times on hardcore/varying difficulties of survival.

though, now i refuse to enter the end. unfortunately, when i kill the dragon, i become dreadfully bored of the world i was in and can't find anything else to do.

Are you implying that killing the Enderdragon is actually a challenge? A "boss" that can only push you as its primarily attack.

Too be honest, the Enderdragon more of a endgame thing, so if you want to wrap up a world nicely, kill it, enchant all your weapons and (for full immersion), pretend your character is wise, and sets off to new lands, to share his knowledge of the worlds.
