Finally, the Hunger Games IS IN MINECRAFT

Near to the release of the highly anticipated film of the books, we have decided to make our very own fan made map and texture pack. It is a jungle arena, which shows how new this map is (1.2).

If you haven't read the hunger games, its about a group of people forced against their will to kill each other for supossed 'glory'. This map (our first) is based on an arena in which these people are forced to do battle. Lots of people have been requesting maps like this, but there have never really been any good ones; so we just thought we'd have a go and make a few for people to enjoy.

And we are building many arena's, all in different biomes. We will even be making one underground

It's pretty cool, but there are some things i'm not a fan of...
1. We should spawn INSIDE the arena...
2. The arena should be a little bigger (There are 8 players after all...)

Yeah - we have a problem with the spawn spot, you should spawn where the gamemaker place and rules are. Does anyone know how to fix this so you do spawn there?

And about the size:
I see a point you have but trust me - any bigger and the game would become very boring. We have another server dedicated to The Hunger Games and the map is 4 times bigger. When we played on it it became dull and boring. With a smaller sized map there are more thrills.

I would make the map way bigger, the book says that its such a large area it has basicly no end.

But how would 8 people find each other in such a large map?

well if you read the book, there are 12 district. 2 tributes from each district. that's 24. so why only limit the arena to 8 people? i think you should max it out to 24. and like someone said, no pics, no clicks.

We might have 24tributes in one arena, but do u have a server that can hold that many people? We are working on size and how many people would be best to fit that map. I see your point tho - we would also like it to correspond to the book as much as possible.

We are already working on a new arena, which will be up next weekend sometime. It's a desert one, so we think it's very different from the jungle one, we'll keep working on these until we have done an arena in every biome (including moo shroom territory) and if they prove popular we'll keep working on them until the demand has died down. Glad you enjoyed it!
