one of my friends told me there was a version of minecraft that you could buy at a store then install on a coputer. if there is would someone tell me what its called because i want to buy it with my birthday money.

It would probably still be called Minecraft, but I've not heard of a retail version of Minecraft. I assume that there will be one eventually, but as of now I don't think it's on store shelves yet. As far as I know, you can only buy it online.
