Only if they are name "skin_xxxxx.png" (the x's being anything you want) and if they're located in the "download" of your sdcard.

Well, the main problem is you have to take the zip folder of the end is extremely nye and place it in the download folder on your sdcard and it should show up under textures tab. Same for skins. Currently, you have to add PE to the file name of the zip so name it "endPE.zip" or anything similar. This restriction will be removed in the next update. Also, I advise removing the "Auto-Sign" folder and "How to install.txt" from the zip because it seems these extra files cause problems when installing the texture pack. This is also being fixed as well.

This is quite odd. You should have the zip folder in your download folder. Click on the Textures tab in the app. Shows nothing?

PM me the exact steps you tried (including any changes to the zip, what you named the zip, etc...). Thats a huge bug if its not working on your Xperia Play considering it was designed, debugged, and tested on an Xperia Play.

I am hard at working building a tool to aid in the process of installing textures and skins to Minecraft PE. It is being designed as an all-in-one package to install/change texture packs and skins. It does not require root. Simply download your favorite texture pack/skin and use PocketTool to install it. No computer or file browser required.
Coming very soon:
-Massive code changes
-Compatible with all (or atleast 98%) texture packs
(No more worrying about the structure of the zip folder, just download and place in "download" folder on sdcard or download directly from phone internet browser)
-Will recognize any zip file as a texture pack
-Now uses a separate installer for texture packs and skins in the "download" folder
-Allows the usage of the "originals" textures
UPDATE Mar 6:
-Added Settings (Menu > Settings)
-Disable the uninstaller under Settings
-Settings saved on sdcard ("/sdcard/PocketTool/settings.bin")
UPDATE Mar 4:
-Supports multiple skins
-Added zipped texture pack support
-Searches download folder for skins/textures
Ken Ellinwood (Creator of Zip Signer 2) for his amazing zip-signer api, which made this tool possible.

The next update is going on Google Play. There's just a few more features being worked on. PT will check to see if a new MC PE is installed and will fix this issue automatically in the next update. In theory, it'll be able to work with every update to MC PE without the need of deleting the PocketTool folder.

As soon as I fix a few more bugs and finish the new features. I'm trying to get it done and uploaded within the next day or so.
