[WIP/REL]DeADeND´s Detailed&Smooth Texture Pack HD 128x128

Detailed, because its 128x128 with some Deatail to look at. And Smooth, because in Minecraft you will see most of the Blocks at very short and long distant, so i m trying to make both will look smooth, and compared to 256px it is alot faster(smoother). I could make other resolution of this pack, anyway 128px are "Detailed&Smooth"! (No Texturefiltering needed mostly). Feel free to use these textures, but when you release part of them always give credits and a link to this post.

So this is the first release of my Terrain.png, and i will call it Detailed&Smooth.

You have to use a HDpatcher first, and then just drag&drop the Terrain.png in your minecraft.jar, with program of your choise.

RENAME the downloaded terraink.png   to terrain.png !!

This is my Way to give the MinecraftCommunitie something back. I ve been working on a Texturepack, since i started Minecraft, and now its time to release the first Pics. Some of the Textures are still WIP, but Stone(Ore) and Terrain are near finish. Feel free to add some comment or feedback. This Time i ´show u only the Terrain.png, and keep working.

It's alright, not the best I've seen, but not the worst either. I think the minerals (Coal, Iron, Diamond, etc.) need to be more dominant and easier to see, because it doesn't look like there is much detail. Also, I'm not too keen on the grass sticking up like that everywhere. Could get annoying.
Currently waiting for: Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age II, LittleBigPlanet 2

I tryed to make them fit in a stonewall without that the player notice them that much, to make it harder to find them. So coal is still easy to reconise, but Gold is realy hard to notice.

The default texture pack for Minecraft makes it so you can see all minerals equally. You should at least make it so that gold isn't a random small blob of yellow you slabbed onto a stone block...

Yes, because a texture pack can modify the game to make grass grow.

Meh, I dislike sooper-dooper realistic packs. But, good job. Better than some I've seen.

Inorder to see the 3D-Grass you have to install  [MOD] Wild Grass [v5.2] not BETA compatible form ejhopkins. The Terrain.png just holds the texture, if needed. Tweak Tall-3d-Grass so view is not blocked, but still visual change comparted to other 3d-Grass(

yes, the gold needs some work,  in the inventory its realy hard to tell, if its gold or stone.

Just installed this pack. I'm loving it! IMO I like it better than Azria's 128x128. Keep up the good work! I look forward to more improvements! Possibly Inventory and etc...

Oh my god, this looks terrible... Nothing personal, but compared to 32x32 textures like Doku's or Steampunk, this looks like shit :/
