I play on the offline version of MineCraft because it is free and I don't have a credit card. Yes, I do have muti-player experince by playing on servers on my friends account. But recently I noticed that when I download MineCraft onto another computer, the offline play is not working. I believe this is an update, and now I am scared to update further. Anyway, can you post the further limitations of its offline mode? No, don't tell me to buy it. I do not have a credit card and my parents are unwilling to buy it. I have a PayPal, but I can't put money into it. Yes I checked, no store in a 50-mile radius has a money-pak card or prepaid visa. Even if they did, I can't drive a car there to buy it. So I want to know if you an download mods or texture packs, if not, can you tell me how to pay it in cash? Yes, I know it might be illegal. .

Unless of course you didn't use that version and did not mean the official website. I hate to break it to you, but in that case you are a pirate.
Besides that you should work on your logic and morals. I cannot possibly afford a new Mercedes at the moment. However, if I had stolen one, I'd still stolen it and possess it illegally. It does not become my right to do so just because I am not able to buy it.

It is a pirated copy. You need to play online atleast once to play offline. Log in as your friend then just play offline as him.
You can play classic legally, thats all I can suggest.

Yes, I know. But I am willing to pay for MineCraft in cash and it ain't my fault that I don't have a credit card. I just wanna know the limitations of playing offline and how to pay for the game in cash.
Oh, I downloaded it from MineCraft.net before the offline restriction was imposed.

"Not a pirate"?
This IS pirating. Even if you can't buy it, it's pirating. That doesn't mean that it's bad to do so. If you genuinely have no way to buy it, then pirate it. Even Notch agreed with that. No sales lost, anyway. Although if you just don't have enough money, you shouldn't pirate it. It's not fair to the people who DID spend money.
Besides, you don't need a Credit Card. Check out all the options PayPal has. Including linking it to your bank account, or wiring money to PayPal through a bank account.

Well, if you used your friend's minecraft account and downloaded the client from minecraft.net, you are still kind of pirating the game. You will need to buy the game to play on servers that use minecraft.net authentication (pretty much every one). Else than that there are no limitations to playing offline that i know of.
