Full in depth information about everything Guild Wars 2 has to offer.

Client is now available to download for those participating in the upcoming Beta Weekend Event here.

Who else cannot wait for this game? Every new peiece of info I love it the PvE system and how it plays out is amazing certianly better then previous MMO's I played how each quest is optional yet effects the zone you are in leading to more quests and avoiding them does make an effect as well and the game is focused around PvP on top of that.

PvP from what I have seen and tell is very well balanced since there is no "classes" as the majority of MMO's have everyone can heal/tank/dps with certain professions being better then others but still the option to do such is there so no more imbalance of having one team having a variety of classes the other with few of one more so then the other. The server vs server PvP is the most interesting feature take Lotro for example its just in between server wars non stop people get accustomed of the strategy of the "leader" now there is much more variety in that bringing much more approaches and how the battle plays out.

And on top of all this it does not require a subscription. There are optional micro transactions that are purely cosmetic to make your character(s) look different this was one of my pet peeves when Lotro went "F2P" model selling better mounts and perks to that character permanent ones I might add.

I am sure they will have some kind of process to follow and go through steps like GW veterans that filled out that information may be able to play earlier then me that left that area blank due to me not playing it unless the next Beta "phase" is open and not another closed one like the previous ones.

If it is another "closed" beta which I do suspect it to be due to you needing to sign up I am sure it will happen in a month or so and be limited number of slots to be filled and not everyone who signed up on the current beta sign up. Once and if (I heard there will be a open beta prior to launch) the open beta does come around those that signed up to the beta will receive a email and reminding them with the link to download the content and play. This will also help arena net becauase they can give you a survey after the beta that has your computer specs to compare to your experience in performance and such helping them optimize even more. The closed beta's alone seem really polished if not the most polished beta I seen even compared to games that were in later production.

I hope it will have the "If you die, you loose all your shit". If it's not like that, then it makes the game easy.

No it doesn't have that. The game is orientated around PvP anyways and if your a player you are much tougher(/smarter) then a bot and will not let a player revive his ally also the fact that areas do scale appropriately if your level 10 in a level 4 event you will scaled down to that level to keep the challenge available this will prevent various issues as well as keep the challenge to those that are low level it also scales in the amount of people in the area more people = harder bosses which this does have some issues as the weapon rack in TB hammer/staff mage video overall it keeps the challenge up. This game does not have a grind of leveling because leveling is even through each one it doesn't increase in difficulty as other MMO's have.

From what I've seen of the game, the adventuring and dungeoneering looks cool, as does the instanced PvP, but the realm vs realm stuff looks like a dull exercise in mashing buttons at a gate. I'm gonna' hold off on checking out this title because I wasn't the biggest GW1 fan.

Many people have been anticipating games like Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3, Diablo 3, or Assassin's Creed 3 this year.

None of those 3's comes close to my level of anticipation for Guild Wars 2. I really hope Arena.net pulls through with their promises of innovation!

Everytime I hear about GW2, I get disappointed for two reasons:

1. I missed the chance to sign up for the beta... I think by a day or two... because I just don't have time to keep up with new game releases like I used to.

2. I was one of the first groups of people to play Guild Wars, I had it on Day 1.
But after time I did not find many good people to play with, and I couldn't afford to keep up with the expansions... so I dropped out of playing it after about a year, I think.... The fact I had no expansions made coming back impossible... They added things which were required to keep up in PvP.

I also could never get on during their holiday events, which made me a bit sore because those things were amazingly awesome....
I still have my own Guild Hall, inherited from my guild members who all left the guild..... *shrug*

In any case, I really look forward to GW2 releasing, but sadly I doubt I will have enough enthusiasm to actually play it. Especially since I have so little time these days to play games anymore...
It looks really good, though...
