I know I already posted a different texture pack (the Jebier Pack) but, really, I couldn't stand the textures I'd created for it, so I decided to start again. I've tried and failed to do a decent texture pack five or six times since and this is the first one I'm really happy with - Altaborea.

The terrain.png file. As you can see I have retextured the redstone lamp and jungle tree wood textures for 12w07b compatibility, although the Minecraft Customizer version doesn't have these textures

What's in a name?
Altaborea is the name of a custom map I've spent a bit of time working on - not much, yet - which I feel deserves a custom texture pack. Obviously, I've experimented with customizer versions of the Painterly Pack and other established texturepacks but they don't allow me the same freedom with the textures. And, because I don't want a [name]craft or [name]pack title as they're overused, I decided to stick with the name of the map for the name of the texturepack. Sorry, I have no clue if this makes any sense at all.

I love the pack, but with your banner signature thing I can't tell a single thing about the pack. I thought it would be somthing that just makes everything blurry... You might want to consider changing that. Otherwise, great job so far!

The grass has been bugging me as well. It's the one texture I just CANNOT do. I've had about ten tries, but each one just looks horrible. I'm working on it, though.

Is the dirt always like that? Because if it is it needs to be improved.

I will judge it based on the picture you provided.
With that in mind, it looks below average. It's not bad, it's just unimpressive.
The dirt looks... Weird I'm guessing it's missing some contrast. You made the sidegrass way too dark compared to the normal one, and the stone looks... off. I just can't put my finger on it. I could be the dirt+grass nearby, not sure.

I think it's that there are no defined lines in the dirt, it just looks like a blur
