A friend and I have been watching the entire series together, so far we've finished five of the movies(starting at episode 1), and so we only have on episode left. It's taken us six months due to her being quite the busy person.

I've been meaning to do a Star Wars marathon with friends before, I never really get the time.
*sigh* Am I the only one who doesn't want another series?
I don't know why, but a movie is much different from a book or game to me. A movie seems... canon. I like the EU and stuff, but I can pretty much only see it as glorified fanfiction. It's decent glorified fanfiction, but still.
But the movies seem more sacred. They exist in the realm of what's real. I mean, I'm fine with the prequels (Save Attack of the Clones. Lord, I hate that movie.) existing. But, no matter how good it will be, I'm just wary of another movie. Like it doesn't need to happen. I'm wary of having a stagnant franchise being milked even MORE. I mean, it's some GOOD milk at times (Battlefront, KoToR), but it's a pretty dry fountain. Do I really want it to resurrect a dead horse so it can be beaten again?
Also, movie opinions:
#1: Empire Strikes Back
(This is the pinnacle. It's good character development and great story combined with awesome action)
#2: A New Hope
(Barely below, but still near the top. It had an excellent story framing the action.)
#3: Revenge of the Sith
(*Puts up flame shield* Umm. Okay, it was a decent movie. It had a silly story, great action, and was able to tie up so many loose ends in a reasonable manner. It didn't have-)
#4: Return of the Jedi
(Ewoks. Umm... The story is oh so slight better than Revenge, but it just falls short in every other way.)
#5: The Phantom Menace
(I GET it! Jar Jar was annoying! Anakin acted like a ****! It's still not an awful movie! It has weak points but it's not BAD.)
#6: Attack of the Clones
(*Grrrr* Just... no. Obi Wan's story was just connect-the-dots and Anakin and Padme scenes were... GAH. NO. BURN! Can you GET more corny? Can you BE more idiotic? I don't think so! Not even if you TRY.)

Ohai. I'm THAT guy. You know me.
Something something Fimgaming. Shameless Z. Plug out.
So apparently J. J.Abrams may be directing Star Wars: Episode VII. If that's true, I'll be pretty happy—I like his work. He worked on the new Star Trek movies and also created my favorite TV show, Fringe.
I have come to the right place! The force is with me!
As for Disney buying Star Wars, they might be able to do a good job with it. No one could ever match the genius of Lucas, but they should be smart enough not to make Leia into a Disney princess. It's hard to wait until 2016. I wonder who will write the music...
Screw the Prequel Trilogies to Star Wars. The original Star Wars trilogy was the best, the prequels is just lame and stupid. Now excuse me, i'll be yelling at everyone who says they like the Prequels.
*sigh* Am I the only one who doesn't want another series?
Nope, I'm right there with you. I'm a hardcore Star Wars fan, but I'd never want another movie released. I'm worried that the more movies they come up with and release, the more chance there is for them to ruin the series with just one movie. Aside from that, I have no faith in Disney. I mean, they've already gotten on my bad side by canceling TCW series.
It's been almost 3 years since I watched the whole Star Wars saga. I don't know what'll be in store for us for Episode 7, but I hope it'll be good; the prequels weren't that good (and how did Episode 3 become a favorite among others???).
The Empire Strikes Back (Episode 5) is my favorite all-time Star Wars episode because it had a rather dark, sensational atmosphere, and it was pretty good anywhere else. Although there was a fail moment in the movie, I consider it the best in the original trilogy.

Hate to be a downer, but consider this. Princess Leia is now a Disney Princess.
The creators of Battlefield 1,2 & 3 are making a Battlefront 3. The trailers already out.
Check this out-
They say that another StarWars trilogy is coming out, made by Disney... they bought StarWars from LucasArts for, like, 3 billion or something go check it out if you don't believe me.
That isn't alpha footage from the DICE team making BF3. That's alpha footage from way back when LucasArts was making it. Also, some of this footage is from BattleFront Elite Squadron for the PSP.

Nope, I'm not particularly happy about it either. Mostly because the books will no longer be canon...

What's that? (I haven't read all the books.)
The Vong war was great! Better than anything Disney could come up with.

I know; a lot of people are saying this after Disney bought Lucasfilms. But at least we got one more princess.
