please dont think of me as being dumb, I am new to minecraft but not the pocket edition and I have heard the word redstone before, i saw multiple videos about redstone, one I saw it was used to turn on a light but idk how, does it act as a power chord to activate a machine? And I heard that levers are obtained also through hexing, do these both work?

from what i have heard, the game should be the same way it was made for android so we can count on are hex editing tools to be able to do this :), my question is can you actually use these hex edited items, example the doors before this update worked but were only half their, are levers and redstone fully operative?

half 'there'^ Please accept my sorry for correction.
their is for people, more than one of something
They're is for 'they are' doing ...... Going ..... Etc
There is for 'over there' or all other terms. Ie half there.

But yeah, I want to know if they will be fully operative too and not just normal block with new designs on them.

Quite easy but very complicated. It is like a bunch of numbers and then you need to find the description no. And click on a empty slot and type the hex code and save the file. And you are ready to go!

Instructions:  Run hex editor,Click on mnt>sdcard> games>. Com.Mojang> Minecraftworlds and select your world. Then click on player.data and find the description code and click on an empty slot and type the hex code and save the file.Enjoy! And make sure you must quit minecraft  completely first.

Making a update. There will be bookshelves next time for the survival update. If you are having problems,Just reply to me.

I think he meant reddtone wiring.

Small things, like automatic doors via pressure plates or levers are easy.
But i have seen some pretty complicated stuff on youtube. My biggest project was secret stairs, an it took like 20 minutes to make

It's alpha 0.2.1 (Android), and there is absolutely no code for any sort of redstone components (not including redstone ore, which is un-mineable and does nothing but glow).

EDIT:  If you don't get this, it means there are no pressure plates/buttons/levers/wire/redstone torches/repeaters/pistons/sticky pistons/iron doors/etc.  To put it nicely...

ANOTHER EDIT: Please, I'm being sincere here, read the wiki a bit before practically spamming a topic about stuff that isn't exactly true.  It happened to me and then I read the wiki, and found out about redstone then after many events with thinking of modding, learning computer science, and making random games with many programs here I am today, look down at the signature:

v
I am decent at Lua and Python, and am an expert with C, C+, HTML, Java, Javascript, and redstone.  Gotta love redstone.

Snap!
Worked fine before the update but I've tried playing around with entities.dat but no results as yet.

Anyone know more about the new file system?
