Redstone screens are gonna be sooooo much cooler now.

Imagine for a moment...

... if they could change color.

After farting around with the new lamps I discovered that they pass redstone current through them as though they are solid. This enables you to hit one with a redstone torch to light up 9 of them. Pistons can push them regardless of if they are lit or not. Redstone dust on the same level as the lamp won't light them but if you put the dust one level higher it does (similar to powering pistons in the same way).

i noticed that the lamps can only be activated with a direct redstone connection. it would be nice if the technology behind it were a bit more complex like what was said above^^

Wow, this laamp is cool! I made a cool little machine with it and villagers.

I spawned those villagers in though, I havn't been to a village yet, so I haven't bothered testing this out, but are baby villagers as smart as normal ones?

Overwrite the minecraft.jar in your .minecraft folder in %appdata%. Don't forget to make a back-up of your world first in case the world converter screws something up.

To get to the appdata minecraft folder, go to file explorer (press winbutton+e), type %appdata% in the bar, navigate to .minecraft/bin, and there's your minecraft.jar. Copy the downloaded .jar over it.

I don't really like the idea of increasing the height but leaving mountains the same...

It'll certainly simplify creations now!
