THIS SERVER HAS CHANGED INFORMATION, PLEASE APPLY HERE:

http://www.minecraft...mostly-vanilla/

There, now that I've gotten your attention, I'd like to propose to you, my server. We operate under two leaders, Achusho and Myself.

We operate on minecraft communism. We all share materials, using a bank house as a large chest holder. We try to keep it organized as best we can, but we're human, so, meh. So long as you're putting useful materials IN the chest, you can take whatever you want OUT of the chest.

Currently, we're finishing up a city in the sky, Sunfire. After being accepted to the server, I'll probably ask what you build a house there, and see if the city needs anything before moving on to a new area for a new kingdom.

I'm not looking for a whole lot of people on the server.

It's no-pvp, and it's vanilla. That means no mods, hacks, etc.
If I think you're cheating or have an unfair advantage in any way, I'll ban you. No questions asked.
We've come very, very far without creative or item spawning. We're proud of what we've accomplished.

LE VIDEO OF STARTER CITY

If you have any questions about the server, PM me.
If you'd like to apply to join, just fill out the following:

What's your play style?
How do you feel about minecraft communism? (Completely sharing materials with one another, not just sapping, but benefiting the community as well)
How do you feel about living near other players?
What's your timezone (Eastern is the server)?
What's in your average minecraft day?
What's your most prized creation?

And provide a picture of a building which you feel accurately represents your building style. : )
I host a private vanilla server, in which my friends and I construct living minecraft communities that grow into living minecraft kingdoms. Once a kingdom is complete, we move on to a new area. PM me for details on joining.
Oh, also, I make weird music. Give it a listen, and tell me what you think? It's not death metal or screamo. StarSeeker

Hello, I hope you'll take me into consideration. I've answered your questions as follows.

What's your play style?
I generally don't really have a "play style" per-say. I enjoy playing the game very much, but I've no been able to find a single server that does the original minecraft experience. There's so many Creative Servers out there or over-populated Survival Servers that it's incredibly hard to wade through the shit and scum. I simply like to play survival, nothing more and nothing else. I much prefer playing with other people, but as of late my mates do not play this anymore and I've been offline for several months now.

How do you feel about minecraft communism?
It's an excellent idea, in my opinion. In every single Survival Server that I've played in, people either steal your things or destroy your buildings because the Mod's are too blind-sited and too "pro" to care about the newer members of society. The idea of gathering for the greater good makes a lot of sense to me.

How do you feel about living near other players?
Perfectly fine, I don't even mind living with people.

What's your timezone (Eastern is the server)?
My timezone's GMT.

What's in your average minecraft day?
Like I've said I've been offline as of late, but since I'm a student I have quite a lot of spare time on my hands. I'd easily be able to spend approx. 4-5 hours a day? Maybe more.

What's your most prized creation?
Although I do not have the proof to back this up, back when I was playing with mates we built a Pokemon Blue/Red world to scale. It took a lot of time and effort to make the full thing to scale, and I'm sure there were some errors, but there was only 3 of us doing it at the time. It was incredibly interesting to do it, but once it was done we simply shut it down and played normal Minecraft. We only really built it to see if we could.

Picture: Here's a picture I've found on the internet, which is almost identical to the forest village my mates had build. The only differences were the walls were wooden, the farm was smaller and we had a slight stream. There were also trees in our village which weren't allowed to be cut down, and a huge treehouse we had made in the middle.

What's your play style? Not quite sure what you mean. Survival, vanilla, you mean?
How do you feel about minecraft communism? Hmm I dont know. If I mine for ages to find diamond, and have to share it with others who were building a house, i feel its unfair.
How do you feel about living near other players? Cool, as long as no greifers.
What's your timezone (Eastern is the server)? GMT -0
What's in your average minecraft day? Combat, building, contraption design.
What's your most prized creation? 3-floor hostile mob system

Hi there, I'd like to apply as the last server I was on crashed ( :( )

What's your play style?
Adaptable. If I'm on single player then it's about survival and exploration and not dying. On multiplayer I like to set up my own little space and if ever someone needs help I'll go right over to them. If there is building that needs to e done, I'm there. If there's farming needed, I'll do it. If none of that applies, I'll go do my own thing and try to find diamonds and enjoy playing.

How do you feel about minecraft communism? (Completely sharing materials with one another, not just sapping, but benefiting the community as well)
I don't mind it at all. On previous servers I'd anyway share what I don't need, or help others find what they need.

How do you feel about living near other players?
Not bothered by it.

What's your timezone (Eastern is the server)?
Uh, +2hr? (I'm in South Africa)

What's in your average minecraft day?
Depends. If I have the whole surviving covered I focus on exploration of caves, or on a server, building what needs to be built or gathering resources.

What's your most prized creation?
:D ... the Grand INN! I've built it twice (because of a server crash) and the second version was huge. Of course no one used it because they liked their own wide space away from spawn. Still, it looked pretty awesome :)

Hey, not bad! I like your application, though your timezone is gunna screw with playing. I mean, I honestly don't mind if you don't, but most of out players (if I'm not mistaken) are between 2 and 7 hours behind you (It's almost 4 p.m. here). I'm trying to get a solid population going on the server, and you seem like a nice addition. However, I will say that we usually (USUALLY) avoid large construct builds that don't really serve a funtion (We've built something that fits that definition though). All I need is your Minecraft name, and I'll whitelist you and PM you the server IP.

tl;dr: Accepted. ^m^

Hai there.

When I ask about playstyle, I mean, how do you play minecraft? Liiiike, what are some of your goals, maybe? Your priority list when starting?

When it comes to valuables, I should be more specific. We vault precious items, so that others can't use them without my knowledge. On top of that, I monitor what they want to use it for, and decide whether or not it's fair to the other players. For example, once, we had a player (before I set these rules in place) craft an entire inventory full of buckets.

Now, I'm still perfecting the vault organization system. The security is phenomenal, but I'm deciding on whether to give each individual person a chest in a vault, or continue with the commune vault. It's not likely that I'd give every person a chest, for spacial and communal reasons, so I'm sorry if that doesn't suit your playstyle. :/

What's your play style?
  • Mostly just adventure. When I play solo, I have my "standard" building styles, mine layouts, farm layouts, etc. When I play multiplayer, I try to advance the progress of the server in general.
How do you feel about minecraft communism? (Completely sharing materials with one another, not just sapping, but benefiting the community as well)
  • Sounds about perfect for me, as that's the way I ran my server when I had it running.
How do you feel about living near other players?
  • "Living" as in-game, or in real life? Neither one bothers me.
What's your timezone (Eastern is the server)?
  • US central time.
What's in your average minecraft day?
  • Play time is varying, from no time at all to up to 5-6 hours if I'm bored. I'll start new worlds, delete old ones, or look for multiplayer servers to join. I just want to play, have fun, and try to accomplish endgame goals.

Definitely accepted. ^m^ I just need your IGN to white-list you, and I should probably inform you that since we kind of occupy areas that are small towns, more or less, Superhuge constructs are kind of frowned upon. The style of your castle if GORGEOUS, it's just a bit too big, you know?

Yeah, I hear ya. Maybe we can set aside a large area in the future to build a walled city; something I can perhaps plan out given the restrictions of the land. I'm good with large-scale stuff, because (mainly) small-scale stuff is so restricting and limited, and therefore boring to make (to me).

Did you download the map and play it to see everything in the castle?

(Also, I sent you a PM with my IGN. Just respond with the server info.)

What's your play style?
I enjoy getting the basics, building my own area and habitat then just enjoy surviving and exploring the local area.

How do you feel about minecraft communism?
I dont mind at all, If i mine something valuable and someone else needs it more than me i dont mind, if that gesture is reciprocated properly by everyone else on the server.

How do you feel about living near other players?
I would enjoy living near others as long as there is no-one who is disrespectfun or damages other peoples property

What's your timezone (Eastern is the server)?
GMT 0. Based in UK

What's in your average minecraft day?
I enjoy setting up, crafting a basic survival area, then exploring, getting more supplies and building more advanced creations and areas.

What's your most prized creation?
So far it is a red-stone powered secret underground bunker.

What's your play style? I like to do redstone things that are very functional, like pistons to control levels in enchanting rooms or semi-automatic melon farms, (I don't like auto-farms, they make lag)
How do you feel about minecraft communism? (Completely sharing materials with one another, not just sapping, but benefiting the community as well) That sounds pretty fun, I may tend keep a few of my diamonds and some food for myself, but for the most part I am happy to contribute.
How do you feel about living near other players? I like to be part of a town, as long as I have some room to build.
What's your timezone (Eastern is the server)? PST (west coast)
What's in your average minecraft day? I play for a few hours a day, I mostly collect things and expand my building.
What's your most prized creation? My Villa I made on singleplayer.

And provide a picture of a building which you feel accurately represents your building style.
Sorry I don't have a picture.

Please send me a PM if I am allowed to join, thanks.

playing style: Mining, Love to create cool things like mob traps, like to make things with redstone and pistons like doors and stuff
Communism minecraft sounds great!in that way noone will bee super rich and noone will be super poor another things that is great about this is that if i have loads of diamonds but no pistons i can just share my diamonds and get some pistons :)
i realy like to live in villages and other socities but the porblem is if some douchebag griefs everyone that why i think it is important to be carefull and watch suspicious people before they can walk around freely. another great possibilty with cities and vilages is that we can build great things togheter
timesone : gmt -1
Play a few hours collect some stuff and one day i suddenly build a big thing out of all materials i have collected

What's your play style?

I enjoy mining and, if the server allows it, trading. I'm not one for PvP. Online so far I actually enjoy providing materials and support for projects aside my own.

As for my play style in terms of building, I like somewhat believable architecture with proper foundations and supports as applicable, though I enjoy floating structures and underwater bases just as much as anyone.

How do you feel about minecraft communism? (Completely sharing materials with one another, not just sapping, but benefiting the community as well)

I tend to provide people resources for their projects rather than start my own. :) So I'm pretty happy to do it, actually, I just like some recognition for providing the materials.

How do you feel about living near other players?

So far Minecraft online has been kind of as lonely as singleplayer because most of the servers I've been on have too much PvP to easily become part of a team to build something cooperatively.

What's your timezone (Eastern is the server)?

Pacific.

What's in your average minecraft day?

Mine stuff and build stuff.

What's your most prized creation?

I'm not very attached to my creations! I've made one or two elaborate strongholds in Singleplayer but I feel they're kind of standard.

As for a pic, I'll see if I can find anything in my SSP world that looks decent...
