Hey, I'm just wondering if my netbook, thats right, it's not even a laptop... Would run Minecraft? It is a "Compaq Netbook" and seems to run quite fast with everything else, it hardly ever goes slow and lag up. I want Minecraft quite badly but don't want to waste 16 pound for something that won't even work... I also have a "Dell Laptop" but that isn't mine and it is quite slow and I would obviously prefer if I could get it on my netbook. If none of these work, don't worry, I'll just get the Xbox version. Many thanks!

minecraft can run on almost anything dude, but it may have lowered framerate. My 5 year old toshiba with vista can run it at 30 FPS w/ some help (gamebooster and performance increasing mods)
EDIT:the toshiba is a laptop technically though, with dell if it's XP or l8r i think youll be ok with Gamebooster and Optifine mod

We need more information than just what it is. The power is within the computer's RAM. To run Minecraft adequately you need at least 2GB of it. Plus you need decent built in graphics, I know Minecraft looks pixelated and poor, but trust me it puts a heavy work load on your system. Why not download the demo first and see how that runs? If it does then you'll know. If it lags whilst playing the demo just tweak the graphical options in video settings.
If you re-post an idea I will yell at you, If you suggest guns I will yell at you, If you suggest space travel wid dimonds fur balanse I will yell at you, If you suggest cars I will yell at you, If you are a brony I will yell at you, If your avatar is a creeper I will yell at you, If I see an Endermen suggestion I will yell at you.

I have the Compaq Presario CQ56 and i can run it with 20-30FPS.
If you have the Compaq Presario CQ60 you can run it with more than 40FPS.

Ok, I think my netbook is a "Compaq mini 110"
I have an Acer netbook and the classic free version runs at 15 fps...
And I just checked the Compaq mini 110 and it has the same specs.
tl;dr No, it will run awfully slow.
