Does any one know the best and quickest way to find an abandoned mine? I want to find some pumpkin and melon seeds. I also want to see if there is any good materials like this inside chests. -------> :Diamond:  :chestfront: I also want to gater up some minecart rails to expand my minecart ride. Can someone help me?

They're generally underneath villages.

The best way would probably be just to search in ravines.

Explore natural caves. Seriously, Abandoned Mineshafts are of such huge scale that there's a good chance one will intersect with another underground area sooner or later. I found two separate mineshafts in two days by exploring just two caves.

I found this out just recently.

Try underneath the villages.

Just mine until you find one. If you keep mining you will find one eventually.

It's not the best way, but I've found several mineshafts by just swimming around in the water.

Simply keep an eye down there for anything that's bright and lit up. It took me by surpise the first time since well, I wasn't expecting it.

ive got a rather extensive branch mine going right now, and my last trip in i came out with about 30 diamonds in 10 minutes and i STILL haven't found one abandoned mineshaft.

Is the thing about village trues, if so, i may make a 3x3 hole in the middle of my village straight down till i find something, i want some god damn melon seeds!
