this is my first mod, and my first post for that matter. so please keep that in mind.  sorry if i make any spelling errors, i am no good at it.

This mod adds a new dungeon type to minecraft.  While the default dungeons are small and boring, the ones in this mod are bigger, more interesting, and a lot harder!  Unlike most of the default structures they are completely random so each one will be totally different.  A lot of current minecraft structures have several different premade peaces that are randomly placed together.  This mod does not do that. Allowing for much more variety and excitement.  

When you find one you will see a small rundown structure on the surface, with a spawner and a spiral staircase leading to the rest of the dungeon.  Down there you will find a multiple room maze with spawners, chests, and possibly some traps.

keep in mind that there is no guarantee that the premade doors will take you though the entire dungeon. you may need to break down some walls Posted Image

Known bugs:
-may crash on creating a world, something to do with picking what mob to put in a spawner. *fixed?*
-some chunks in the dungeons do not get lit correctly, as far as i know there is nothing i can do about it. Posted Image
-possibility of them generating inside of each other/other structures. probably not going to fix, can result in some rather, interesting things.-
-generates in the end
-sometimes the chests will be very rare and only have 1 item. i have no idea why! (usually happens in larger dungeons)

it is quite impressive how well they spawn.
it need a bit more though. the chest prizes aren't good enough (yes I'm aware that is going to be changed) plus there needs to be more traps (like the TNT traps)

I was going to add more traps, but i could not think of any good ideas. i was going to add a lava pool, but i did not like the way it turned out and i thought it deceased spawning more that i would have liked.  but the tnt trap does have a lava variation.  about the chests, i plan on having the loot depend on the amount of traps and spawners in the dungeon, for example if it is a small one with only 3 or so spawners, you would get low loot, but if it is a larger one with lots of spawners and traps you may get diamonds, and iron. but i have not gotten there yet.  If you have any good ideas for traps, let me know and i can try to add them.

smp? When i figure out how. I have only just started modding. I have been programing for years though. So it should not be that hard for me to get working. But i have bad internet and especially right now, it is very inconsistent. So it would be hard to test. I would say ill get around to it eventually.

The floating block above the entrance was to help me find them before i made an entrence, I will remove it in the next update.
about finding them underwater, im not sure what i should do about that. it would be a little tricky to get them not to spawn if the entrence is underwater because the entrence is one of the last things to be made. but i dont like finding them underwater. if i could get some suggestions on this that would be great.

I had minecraft on bright, I did not want to place torches because that may have people thinking that they are generated in the dungeons(only redstone torches are). And after all it is a dungeon it is supposed to be dark.  But i still see your point.  

EDIT: There, I made them quite a bit brighter. you should be able to see them clearly now. :)

-some small behind the scenes stuff. invisible to the player.
-made it so that only the player can activate the traps >=D
-added some code for some new dungeon types, but they will not generate yet.

version 1.2:
-added the possibility for them being 2X bigger!
-added variations in the vines depending on biome
-added webs
-variations on the webs depending on biome
-added possibly of much more dense dungeons

version 1.1:
-increased amount of doors
-added wood to chests
-removed debug block
-reduced spawn rate
-increased chance of creating an entrance

V1.0:
-initial release

Hey I was wondering if I could help you make this mod! I've just created a tool that can take a structure and generate the code for spawning it in the world. I was just about to make a mod like this when I found yours so I was wondering if we could work together!

I don't think i rely need help with it, but im not agents it. what does your tool actually do? the only problem is my internet is very inconsistent right now. but we can see how it goes.

EDIT: Alrighty then... It's a pretty good mod, after seeing the rest of the dungeon photos (They didn't load) and wondering around a bit looking for them using noclip. Just one question, would it be possible to make a version that doesn't use forge, it's not really a problem for me, but it feels odd that I'm using a mod that needs forge, only adds one item (As forge is normally required for mods with tonnes of random variations of items and such.) And also, about that one actual item, is it possible to use the vanilla stone pressure plate rather than making a new one all together?

Thanks, Yes I can make a forge free version. I do not actually use it for the item. i use it for the loot. and since I am going to completely change that (eventually) I will probably make it not require forge in the next update. but later down the line i may need to require it again, because i do plan on using some more of its features.
