Diamonds are just to easy to find, in my world i started yesterday ive found 10....
I just make a 2 block wide staicase down to bed rock the i just make 500+ block long branches and i ALWAYS find more than 2 i so far have made 3 shafts Impresseive eh?
I think there should be new ore thats really rare, rarer than Diamond-wearing pink sheep thats riding a spider in a stronghold.

Just me mining to lava level my last trip gave me a 2 stacks and 40 diamonds. Took a few hours, but then i took an arrow to the knee using a map.

Dude it all depends on the seed and stuff where you mine I once dug over 100 blocks found no diamonds..... The once I dug less than 30 and made full diamond armour and tools with extra...... It all depends on where and what world you dig in.

Too easy for me. I just dug down into a MASSIVE cave system with ravines intersecting ravines. too bad i can't find them anymore.

Difficult question...
I do believe they are too easy to find, and I think they should be made a little bit more rare along with other resources. How often do you go digging in the dirt and find coal?

I think they are fair as is, like an above post, it does depend on what seed you use, or what map you are on. I once found like 10+ diamond in less than 10 minutes on the yogbox seed, and on a multiplayer map I found no diamond for weeks in these huge cave systems.

Diamonds finding difficulty is just fine.

I think they're on par. Just look at the ratio of diamonds to any other ore you have, assuming you collect all that you come across. It's not so much that you find them too often, think of how many more uses you get out of diamond tools as opposed to stone or iron.

I think it's fine the way it is.

You can find them if you really want to, but generally have to work for it. I'd rather that then it being impossible to get a decent stash.

Too easy right now... particularly once you really learn the game well.

If you're good at finding the things... and if you ALSO have a Fortune 3 or 4 enchantment... you can get ALOT of these.

In my previous world (before the jungle update, made new world for that) I had in my storage about 90 diamonds. That's just under a stack and a half, I think. This being because I had gotten a Fortune 3 pick, and had ONLY been using it on the few items it works on. So whenever I encountered a diamond vein... well... 17 diamonds out of one vein was not uncommon.

On one hand, I do think it's a bit too easy right now.

On the OTHER hand, I really like the enchantment and potion systems despite this, and like how many OPTIONS you have in the game right now. SO many different ways of going about things.

Part of the trick with diamonds though really is just knowing where to look.

and i voted for Platinum for a few reasons... Its could be generally used in mc for building purposes.
and Plutonium IS NOT NATURAL, it created in labs, but its half life is some-what long for an unatural element.]
Titanium shouldnt, it was never used for anything in the general time period of mc (MC sorta takes place possibly in early 1900's, despite it having no real date), since titanium is used in mainly engines.

I could only see platinum used for anything, and it shouldnt be used for tools or whatnot, only for pretty blocks, like lapis.

Too easy!? You've got to be kidding me. I'm playing on an SMP server right now and have explored a HUGE cave system, then branch mined at level 12 (many branches hundreds of blocks deep, each). I found enough diamonds to make a chest plate, helmet, sword, pick, and enchantment table. So, that's about 19 or so? Most of them were found in the first two branches. My sword and armor are half worn out and I've gone through literally dozens of picks and haven't found any more diamonds in hours of mining. By the time I find more my sword and armor will be toast and they'll get used up making replacements.

So, no, they're definitely NOT too easy to find.

I think Emerald ore would be nice to have,it could be better than Iron,slightly less as good as Diamond and about the same level of rarity as Diamond.

they should make something SUPER rare
