What is MultiMC?
MultiMC is a tool / custom launcher that makes managing Minecraft much easier by allowing you to have multiple installations of Minecraft at once. This means that you can have two different .minecraft folders each with it's own mods saves texture packs, etc. It also allows you to easily install and remove mods without you even having to touch WinRAR or 7zip at all. In addition, when Minecraft crashes, MultiMC tries to recognize the error message and explain what happened and how to fix the problem.

How to install MultiMC
Instructions for installing MultiMC can be found on the download page. Please read them!

If you need help
Before you go and ask for help, please read the FAQ here.
If you need help, you can usually find me on EsperNet IRC in the #MultiMC channel. Please ask your question in channel, rather than sending me a message. This way other people are able to help you as well. You may also post on this thread, but using IRC will probably get you a faster response.
I do not support piracy. If you ask me for help with your pirated Minecraft, you will be ignored.
Technic and Tekkit are not currently supported.

Download
You can download MultiMC here: Video

This video covers most of the new features in MultiMC 4.

If you're looking for mods.
Here's a great place to find new mods and get info.

Disclaimer
MultiMC will not steal your password. Your password is sent to Mojang's servers when you login and nowhere else. Don't trust me? You can look at the source code here or use Wireshark. This is about all I'm going to say on this subject. If you still don't trust me, then just don't use it.

Why not just setup a batch file that redirects the launcher lol?  That's what I do.

Yeah, I've got 9 different Minecraft installations. I keep them all in a folder on my external hard drive.

I just set them up to run in a portable mode, so I can plug in and play them anywhere.
If I helped you in any way, or if you think my smart-assed comments were funny. Please hit the green button in the lower right corner of my post. Thanks!

As I said. You can do that with MultiMC too, it just makes it much easier to manage them.

The only difference between the Windows and Linux version is the theme. All of the buttons and other things are in the exact same spot.

What's not working? What OS are you using? Is it 64 bit or 32 bit? Are you using the latest version of .NET or Mono? Do you get an error message?
