IRC Rules:
The purpose of #minecraft is to enable direct communication between me as a developer and you as a player and/or customer. I want to tell you about hot new features, and I want to hear your direct feedback. Also, it's cool to get to know each other personally.
- You can talk about anything, as long as it isn't illegal or offensive.
Discussions related to Minecraft take precedence over off topic discussion.
Do not test the rules. That includes this rule.
Do not flood. Do not spam. Finish your sentences before pressing enter.
If you have a problem with an op, leave the channel until it gets resolved to avoid infecting the matter, and contact Notch.
Do not taunt the ops.
Do not insult. Do not ridicule.
Cursing is fine, but don't overdo it. If you have a reason, go ahead.
Don't be afraid to disagree! If I do something bad, I want to know about it. (Just don't insult or spam).
Do not discuss custom servers. Do not discuss client hacks. #minecraft is for discussing the core, unmodified game.
No bots are allowed.

In order to enforce these rules, ops can and will kick and/or ban. Bans are rarely permanent, but they can be (for example, if you're an obvious spam bot).
