A Minecraft Pumpkin Pie, IRL
Join Captain Sparklez and Rosanna Pansino as they assemble a real-life Minecraft pumpkin pie! It gets a bit messy, but looks pretty good in the end. Enjoy! As an amusing aside: some people struggle with cracking an egg one-handed, but it's the only way I can crack one. Every two-handed attempt ends in a mess.

Name Changes Confirmed, Launch Date Announced
Endermen not included with name change. Terms and conditions apply. See store for details.
That's right, name changes will be here very soon! No, I don't mean "Soon™", I mean soon! For realsies soon! Check out this Q&A with Mojang, explaining how it will all work, why you should probably buy that unpaid account with the name just sitting there, and a whole lot more!
Quote from MojangWhen? When! When?!
We plan to make name changing available on February 4th.
What do I need to do this? Will it cost money?
The only thing you need is a Mojang account. If you currently sign in to Minecraft with an email address, you’re all good! Otherwise, you can migrate your old Minecraft account here. There are no other requirements, and it does not cost any money.
It sounds good! Where can I do it?
Just head on over to your Mojang account page! Once the feature is made available you’ll see a “change” link next to your Minecraft name.
Can I steal somebody’s name? Can I call myself “Dinnerbone” too?
No. There is already somebody called Dinnerbone and names are still unique. You can’t have the same name as another player; they will have to change their name for you to be able to take it. 37 days after they change their name, the old one will become available.
What about all those unpaid usernames from so many years ago?
We will be freeing up all those old unpaid usernames when the new name changing feature is released. If you have an old unpaid name that you’d like to keep, there’s still time to buy it! Read this help article to learn how.
Can I change the capitalization of my name?
Yes, you can!
Does this mean that I can pick a new name every day?
No. After changing your name you have to wait 30 days before you can do it again.
What if I change my name and then realise that I don’t like it? Can I change back to my old name?
Yes, you can. You still have to wait the 30 days though.
If I ban a player “Foo” and he changes name to “Bar”, will he stay banned?
Yes. Same for whitelisted players and oped players. They also keep their inventory, pets, statistics and everything they own on a server.
How will this work with mods? What about my custom stuff on this one modded server?
Ask your mod maker/server owner. Mods should be able to support this system easily and most already do, but we aren’t responsible for mods or servers!
Can I have a hug?
*hugs*So there you have it! A grace period after the name is changed, bans will be based on player (not name) and be unaffected, and - despite many, many, MANY rumors to the contrary - zero cost to change names.
$0. Not a single cent. Free.
Last time this came up, I asked what you would change your name to. Since we know that already; what name would you buy an account for, if you knew it was available? Doesn't have to be serious or deep, just any reason at all!

Community Creations: Working Transformer
McMakistein has created a monster! Well, maybe not a monster, but definitely a robot, one that transforms between a car, and a standing robot, using 100% vanilla mechanics! Yes, this transformer works in the core game, without mods, plugins, or other tricks, using only redstone, armor stands, and some really clever thinking.
Not convinced? Well, you could always check it out for yourself! Redstoners, you've got some new competition in McMakistein, and I'm definitely looking forward to what he comes up with next!

Community Creations: Working Word Processor!
Okay, so we can open up Notepad and basically do the same thing, but to see a working word processor in Minecraft - made by Koala_Steamed - is truly remarkable! This mass of redstone doesn't just print characters, it can load them from a file as well! The screen has a 50-character limit monitor using 16 segment display, with 7.357x10^92 different combinations the screen can show, all of which can be controlled from 1 line. That's pretty neat!

Name Changes Coming Soon?
Are Minecraft name changes on the horizon? It certainly seems so, according to Kris Jelbring of Mojang! No date was offered on the service, though a teaser image was released showing how it might work.
Before anyone asks - no, "Herobrine" is not available.
Being able to change one's name in Minecraft has been hinted at for some time now, though the logistics of how it would be handled have been a hot topic of debate. How would bans be handled? How would anyone know if another player had a new name? Then again, being able to change one's name - in the case of picking a bad one, or believing the name was temporary when buying Minecraft - has been a highly sought-after feature for some time. If you could change your name, what would it be?

Minecraft Passes 18 Million Sales!
That's 18 million copies just on PC/Mac alone! Crazy! Minecraft is showing no signs of stopping its relentless domination of the gaming world, with an approximate average of 17,500 copies of the game selling every single day, on PC/Mac alone. That's crazy!
Were you around when it all started? If not, the above video is an interesting look into the past: the first-ever video of Minecraft gameplay, recorded by Notch as he coded the game into existence. Crazy to think the game we know and love came from such humble beginnings, but everything starts somewhere!
When did you first pick up Minecraft?
