Have you been wanting to play Minecraft on Xbox, but couldn't because you weren't connected to Live? Maybe downloading games on your console isn't practical where you are? You are not alone, and Mojang knows your pain. So, “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition” is now available as a disc-based version, that will let you play Minecraft, without needing Live! This version of “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition” contains all the same features and content included in the current version, and is exactly the same as the digital version in every way, including support for multi-player, skin packs, and more!

Awesome. Now i will no longer have to deal with people being like  "what is minecraft? Is that the game with the crappy graphics?"

Although I don't have an Xbox, this is pretty cool to see. Three years ago, I would never have imagined seeing Minecraft in a store, but hey, surprises happen!

It's almost like watching a baby grow up... except babies don't usually end up on retail shelves. :P

isn't it nicer to have the download on your console because you can have another disc in it too and you can't lose the disc? though i guess it is nice so that you can lend it to your friends

I thought it has been available for a while. I think I saw it in my local gamestop a couple weeks ago, actually. :D

Glad to see Mojang expanding their market.

If I helped you, please hit the Posted Image in the lower right corner of my post. Thanks!

I saw these a few days ago.
Not suprised though, it would make sense to make such a large game into a buyable disc. Plus it will boom its fame a bit more.

This is nice news. Though I don't really care for Minecraft on Xbox, I like to see that game still grows bigger and bigger.

Untrue. The exclusivity deal does have an end to it. The only question is when.

Goodbye...

Those are very good news. That means when minecraft will come out to PlayStation 4 (and I hope it will be as soon as possible), we will have a disc of the game.

Nice. If I had an Xbox, I'd prefer this, because I like having physical copies of games.

I don't understand this... It's cheaper and better to download it off of the arcade with your microsoft points. Cheaper: You use your gas in your car to go to your local gaming store. Better: The DISK could get scratched! If you download it, it won't get ruined!

TL; DR: Why on the disk? It's cheaper and better to download it.

Gold is applied to food to enhance it, such as golden apples and carrots. This doesn't make sense. You would not smother an apple in butter, and if you did, it'd probably give you a heart-attack, not bestow you with magical healing abilities.
