Modpack Spotlight - Agrarian Skies
The (Minecraft) world has ended, and there is nothing left. Well, ALMOST nothing; Code Wizards meddled in the balance of nature, and released hordes of monsters from other dimensions on an unsuspecting world. Not satisfied with just destroying human life, the monsters rampaged across the world eating everything they could find, and leaving nothing in their wake but empty void.
Now, it is up to you to rebuild an entire world from nearly nothing.
Agrarian Skies is a popular modpack made by Jadedcat, which takes the classic idea of a skyblock game, and cranks it up many, many notches. You start with a quest book, which guides you on your journey. Numerous spells, tools, and machines are at your disposal to complete your arduous task. However, be warned: this is not a modpack for the faint of heart! Loads of challenges, monsters, and more await you on your journey. Do you have what it takes to build an entire world?
One final note - you have a limited number of lives. That's right, you can only die so much before reality has had enough, and leaves you dead forever!
The quest book's introductory quest has a full voice-over as well, done by your favorite MCF news writer!
HOW DO I PLAY?
If you have the FTB Launcher, you can play simply by downloading the Agrarian Skies modpack, and starting up your game!
For the appropriate definition of "fun".

A word of warning: the "reward bags" appear to be mostly tongue-in-cheek. You can get everything you need to complete the quests other ways though, so don't be concerned if you don't get anything useful.
Lol dwarf fortress is literally the most frustrating game I've ever played, and its more fun to let the game run and see how the fortress falls.
EDIT: haha, i just read back and found out i could use saplings!
In all, I have had quite a bit of fun finding methods of doing things in this modpack and the House world. Once you get your first cobble generator, things get REALLY fun then.
Some progress I have accomplished thus far for any interested. All my chickens are named Spawn Silverfish and some silverfish I spawned were named Spawn Chicken? Be weary of jokes at every corner. Infernal Mobs is deadly as well. Unless you want an serious challenge (ghast fireballs all over), turn the gamerule doMobGriefing to false.
Oh, I can assure there is many troll jokes in it. Always be weary of some things. Like Blood Magic stuff especially. If you get any tools from Blood Magic as a reward, just trash it literally. (Saying this so you don't try to use one, and instantly lose all your lives, refer to Blood Magic documentation to understand how that mod works).
Tiny hint, somewhere on the house map, there is a lone dirt block, but it has evil secrets under it, but do not break the secret, the void consumes the evil secret under it.
You will have 2 maps automatically in your Saves folder. One is a flat platform based Skyblock, the other is with a house and some nice "Bastion" looks floating tiny island with a house. I would suggest starting with the House map as a starter. The book you get, will explain what to do. The rest you do, well that is up to you, just need to survive.
Yep, Pahi is recording and uploading it as well, with the same timing is Dire.
Works beautifully in SP for me. You might have heard the other way 'round, because HQM didn't originally have multiplayer features, such as partying and live-sharing. (Public versions of the mod still may not, I don't know)
