Building on last week's Snapshot, Mojang continues the drive to give mapmakers even more awesome tools (and fix some bugs too)! What's on this week's Snaphot?
FEATURE LIST (MAP-MAKER EDITION!):
- /tp now supports rotation arguments
- Player selectors (@p, @e, etc) now support cubic areas. For example: @e[x=0,y=0,z=0,dx=10,dy=10,dz=10] gets all entities between 0,0,0 and 10,10,10
- Added /clone command to copy large areas to other areas
- Added a /fill command to fill a large area with a block

- Windows EXE:https://s3.amazonaws...rver.14w03a.exe
EDIT:
Skins have undergonie some changes as well! You can now set different textures for different body parts (instead of one "arm" texture, etc), as well as apply a "hat" layer to any body part, not just the head! Not enough awesome? What if you could toggle any layer parts on your body? You can do that too! Customizing your skin has never been easier, or more cool. Give it a try!
Be right back, I'm going to go server-hopping without my mask.
i do understand that you can add hats to skins now (like in the ps3 and xbox version) --> YAAY I CAN FINALLY ADD HORNS TO MY CHARACTER!!! (cause im a dragon lol)
but yeah can some1 explain it better for me please?
can you add stuff to your back? (like adding wings and a tail and such?)

No. You're not changing the shape of your character. It just lets you wear two skins at once. The only horns you can add would be the same as the existing "hat" field on skins pre-snapshot. The only difference now is you can add second layers to your entire skin, with any bits that are transparent showing the first layer beneath it.

I don't think Mojang realizes that some people play for the survival part, rather than the building part of the game. If I want a building toy, I'll buy legos. I don't need more building blocks I'm never going to use. More hostile mobs, or tools/weapons, more structures, more bosses, more to do in the nether, more to do in the end..now THOSE, I would love to see. Just..more reason to play the game itself, rather than build.
What do you mean "how"?. You change it the same way as usual. Edit the skin image file.
The original post has this image:
It's pretty simple. The top half of the image is the same base as the old skin. Head, Head 2(hat), Right Leg, Body, Right Arm. The bottom half, is the new parts. Right Leg 2, Body 2, Right Arm 2, Left Leg 2, Left Leg, Left Arm, Left Arm 2.
"Left Leg" and "Left Arm" are easy enough to figure out. Any of the one's with "2" are the extra parts. They work the same way the hat layer in the original skin base worked, the only difference being, you can do it for all the different body parts now.
My main issue is trying to figure out the arms/legs. I'm sure it's simple, but because I'm smart, I decided to just copy/paste the ones I already had made, and use that, but they were placed wrong, so I'm working on fixing that now.
Thanks
I just explained it 2 posts above yours..
I can finally customize completely my skins which could help me become a better Graphic Designer.
Thank you Mojang for giving me an excellent opportunity
