David and Toby look at (among other things) the recent Snapshot's "Minecart with Command Block", which combines all the functionality of a command block with the sleek portability of a minecart. Sweet!

SCRIBBLENAUTS: A BRIEF LOOK
Speaking of free-form building, have you seen Scribblenauts? Imagine combining any words you can think of, and having that thing appear in-game for you to use in problem-solving (or starting)! Pretty neat, and definitely worth a look. There also might be a free giveaway of the game, and/or a free 3DS to be had as well...
Ikr.
I have no use for Minecart and command block.. why don't you add something more.. useful? Not like we can ride in it or anything. The regular command block does the same exact thing, and it isn't hard to make a command block connected to the railway.
GB in minecraft, cool. I don't really have much to say however.
Scribblenauts and MC forums don't mix too well. But, the game is fun.
The point is to add power to the "setblock" command and make it on-par with spawner minecarts summoning spawning sand that turns into something else. Or even just to make commands more powerful in general.
For instance, you could use this to place the same block (setblock) or mob (summon) in multiple places (relative to the minecart's location) whenever it was activated, allowing for 1 command block to be used for multiple locations, reducing the need for a ton of command blocks.
However, I still think this is underpowered, allow command blocks more than 1 command, or multiple sets of a single argument (say, location....) and we might have something here.
Hmmm... looks interesting... oh... Canada and US only. Why? Besides, why have anything about that game in the first place?
I rather enjoy the other gaming news they put up here. It's not like they're advertising clothes or books or something. It's a game. Grow up people. You get a little other news sprinkled in with your daily MC diet. As long as the off topic endorsements are relevant to gamers interests, the forums can keep posting them.
For those of you who disagree, sorry that you havent taken any web development classes and don't understand that websites are made for certain purposes. When you title your site something along the lines of "Minecraft-blah blah blah", it is clearly stating that the website will contain Minecraft-releated content, and any other content does not fit the site.
(And completely failing to say what's new in Snapshots, seriously what's the point of even checking the news now?)
It's the easiest way to make a ton of commands fire in quick sucession, i.e. a long straight with tons of activator rails. Also, picture, a primet TNT spawner from a mincart chasing you. The potential for an "exploding bridge" scene is wondrous...
Interesting they'd be talking about scribblenauts on the minecraft forums, but wutevs, doesn't really matter.... easy enough to ignore.
I can't just find it.
