Ghasts are horrible, aren't they? All the creepy noises, and how they bury you in explosive fireballs the second you poke your head out of a portal? Besides drops, what possible good could they be?

Turns out they make a pretty good defense system! Check out this awesome video by Docm77 and ZipKrowd, which shows off the aptly named "Ghast Cannon Tower" in all its glory!

That's a very innovative weapon system, though its accuracy seems downright ghastly.

Wouldn't you also want to use a nametag on the Ghast to ensure that it never despawns?

They did. At 3:36 you can briefly see they gave him the catchy name "Turret".

Oh yeah, I see it now. It's a real "blink and you'll miss it" moment, and YouTube's new blurry buffering system doesn't help either.

Just set up and man like 10 of these things around your base.... so amazing...

Props for figuring that out. Too bad it wouldn't work with a blaze, that would be the most awesome thing I've ever seen!!!
