A "Thank You" to Modders!
Just over a month ago, we announced that the Minecraft section of CurseForge was getting an overhaul and now had a dedicated section to Forge mods. We also welcomed any Forge mod authors to host their mods on CurseForge, and boy did they!
We’d like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all that have participated in our new Forge mod section, so, THANKS!
The three days after that announcement saw an enormous influx of new mod projects on CurseForge, nearly 150 new projects were started that weekend. Since the announcement, we’ve gone from 100 mods(with only about 25 that were actually Forge mods) to over 550 mods and projects(about 360 of those are exclusively Forge mods).
So, again, we’d like to thank the community for supporting our new endeavor, and especially to those big mods that have embraced our platform. We’d like to thank the Project Manager SirSengir for uploading his mod Forestry as well as CovertJaguar and SirSengir for uploading BuildCraft, we’d also like to thank MisterFiber for uploading his mod ExtrabiomesXL, and last but not least, we’d like to thank all the other mod authors for their contributions. We’ve got some great mods to check out, like Enchanting Plus, Mine & Blade: Battlegear 2, and Better Archery, among other great mods. Thanks!

and btw YEA good job modders
me too!!! go moders!
...the only reason Forge is getting so much attention is that it's a bigger, better, more up-to-date, more diversified and more widely accepted API than its counterparts, not to mention that it integrates the core features of Modloader.
Honestly, that's kind of like saying "Poor Ford and his Model-T" when comparing the Model-T to an F-150.... just because the Model T isn't successful anymore doesn't mean you should take pity on it--it's had it's day and now it's been outmoded by something newer.
Anyways, congrats to every modder that ever lived!! Minecraft would have gotten boring and unpopular long, long ago if it weren't for the Modding community. TY to you all for keeping the game interesting!
There still is a role for Risugami to play in developing mods. Don't diss him yet. He also introduced to concept of a unified API that mods could be using, so at the very least he deserves a whole lot of credit.
Besides, both Risugami's ModLoader and Forge are going to change quite a bit when the plug-in API is introduced.
Curse Forge is pretty legit. Better than using ad.fly to get mods installed

I want to make a few mods with my friend soon. Maybe you guys will see those. (They probably wont be Forge though, just where you drag the .class files into the minecraft.jar)
But i am not using forge mods!
Also, we make 4 of the top 10 mods and not even a mention of one of them kinda depressing.
Regardless, I'm happy to see modders getting the attention they deserve, a lot of good people put in a lot of good work in the community and its nice to see Curse acknowledging that on a large scale. Kudos guys, and I'm sure we all look forward to working with you more in the future.
Naaah, just kidding. Thank you modders; you make a truly awesome game legendary!
