Man, I'm glad that Mojang is breaking and breaking their game you know? Who would ever be so unappreciative about a needless bug fix update if they decided to test the game before releasing it so they'd make modder's life easier, and what the hell, when do they fix the sprint bug, like seriously? is Minecraft just doomed to be broken forever? update for only a week of time wasted? Eh?
If you have ever programmed anything in your life then you would know not every program is perfect. And when working with a game like Minecraft that's coded in Java, having a bug-less update is unavoidable, unless they took probably a year to test and work out bugs. Be happy for the fact not only are you getting fast updates, but also fast fixes as this kind of programming skill is quite impressive.
Enough with the updates. this is a nightmare for modders
speaking as one, 1.6 to 1.6.1 (and likely 1.6.1 to 1.6.2) was nowhere near as bad as 1.5 to 1.6. Updates within a major version are an inconvenience, but generally not difficult. 1.5 and 1.6 major releases have both made large changes to the internals that were a bear to work out at first. Minor updates within them are basically nothing at all
Mojang's gonna update once or twice after this, don't complain. I'm happy that they release before fixing bugs, with more people playing there's a bigger chance we'll find bugs.
I'll be honest, I didn't exactly support Horses cause I thought they'd "take away the old minecraft ways" but it turns out that they did an excellent job and I'm very excited to go on servers and build little stables/farms to trade with people.
I need a bukkit build that supports 1.6.2... stupid auto-update
My server has been dead all day because of this crap. And even if I revert to 1.6.1 i still want everyone else who hasn't figured out how to revert to be able to play just bc their client autoupdated.
